Re: How many bottles do you travel with?

Ellada - I've had one taken by a border guard (personally I think she just wanted it for herself http://www.fragrantica.com/board/img/smilies/tongue.png)
There was maybe 50ml left in it, and that's rounding up, but because it was a flagon that said 250ml on the bottle they confiscated it. I think you're OK so long as you keep the bottle below 100ml - and they apparently go by the label on the bottle, regardless of how much is actually IN the bottle...

I think Nikosculpture has the right idea, I only ever travel with one perfume and I always keep it in my hand luggage so it can't get lost. But I don't alternate day and night fragrance and tend to stick to one perfume at a time anyway.

Re: How many bottles do you travel with?

I have some 5ml miniatures which are perfect for holidays, so I usually take 2 or 3 of those on holiday.  They take no room, don't cause problems when I take them on a plane and won't break my heart if there's a spill.

Re: How many bottles do you travel with?

I just got back from an 8 night vacation, and I packed 1 mini. By the end of the week, I was going crazy and desperately wanted to change it up. I"m leaving again next week for a 10 day vacation and would love to pack more, but I'm so scared they will get stolen or confiscated from the air port security, or hotel maids lol. I'm thinking I'll take a couple of minis and hope I get a chance to buy another new one glad I guess my fear of losing them is over taking my desire to bring more scents

Re: How many bottles do you travel with?

I know you love your perfumes but going via the many reviews here and elsewhere it would seem that alot of people get introduced to new fragrances when they are travelling or on holiday.  Perfumes that aren't available back home or its a chance if going through dutyfree to pick up something at a discounted price not available elsewhere.   Take a couple of bottles but why not use this as an opportunity to find and discover something new.

Re: How many bottles do you travel with?

You said that you are travelling by car, right?  If so, I would take whatever amount would make you happy.  When we go on vacation by car (like to the beach), I don't put big limits on what to take.  If it can fit in the car and will make me happy, it's coming with us.

Re: How many bottles do you travel with?

I pack a .5-ounce mini of Calyx and maybe two or three sample vials of other scents, depending on where I'm going and what I'm doing.  What can I say, I'm a minimalist http://www.fragrantica.com/board/img/smilies/smile.png

Did you have any problems?

can perfumes get confiscated by the border guards??? http://www.fragrantica.com/board/img/smilies/24.gif

Every time I visit my parents in Ukraine, I pack 4-5 bottles in my suitcase (wrap them in my clothes). Never had any problems.

Thank you DresdenDoll and Olga1780 for your answers despite my question was offtopic! http://www.fragrantica.com/board/img/smilies/31.gif

I would personally only take decants, if not the move...

Re: How many bottles do you travel with?

Careful in how you pack it, when I worked at the airport I had a lady with luggage that smelled like lavender.

It smelled great but you could tell she was embarrased because it was wafting throughout the immediate area.  It was her essential oil vial that broke!http://www.fragrantica.com/board/img/smilies/grater.gif

Re: How many bottles do you travel with?

Only one so I will be able to link that perfume in my memory to the wonderful things which happen to me during the trip. I can always buy a few more at my destination to bring home as souvenirs. http://www.fragrantica.com/board/img/smilies/27.gif

Re: How many bottles do you travel with?

I already got my bag packed. I'm going to the seaside for two weeks. I took 3 bottles: http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/m.6215.jpg Ulric de Varens Varens Original Italian Romance for extremly hot weather, http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/m.1701.jpg Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers  for beach and http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/m.12405.jpg Dzintars Ridzinieces noslepums Secret of Riga  for evening. And I took great number of samples.

givenchy Very Irresistible
EL: Brasil dream, Bali Dream
Niki St. Phalle
