Re: Men who wear " Eye Liner " and " Mascara " ?...Really ?

It does bug me when a man spends more time in front of the mirror than I do- and I do not mind when a man looks a bit scruffy, as long as he takes care of basic hygiene.  I do not mind men wearing make up really though- although I probably would not chose one of them as my partner glad

Too bad most people can only do this look at Carnival time or Halloween.

I don't care what you wear as long as you are clean and well groomed.

Why not?  If wearing mascara and eye liner makes a guy happy I say God love him.  Why should I object?

I've seen some men pull this look off with great style and sexiness.  If it makes you feel good, why not?

Maybe just a touch of make-up, in good taste.

Everyone is free to wear what they want, but unfortunately most people will make rash assumptions about sexual orientation if a man wears mascara. Undereye concealer I understand, because guys get little sleep too and might need to look fresh and awake for work. Cover-up for zits is also acceptable in my opinion. In general, I think men can be totally groomed, get facials, moisturize their face, get manicures without polish, even trim certain hairs without going overboard and look really really good. If youre a goth, sure, its part of your general philosophy to put on all kinds of stuff, but for the average Joe, itll look a little odd if they use visible eye make-up. I think everyone would respect a man like that, but most women wouldnt go out with a man like that. Just my opinion!

Well, I think it's just icky.  Except for pirates.

Re: Men who wear " Eye Liner " and " Mascara " ?...Really ?

Actually I've always thought men in general should be able to wear make up.  There are plenty of guys who could benefit from a little cosmetic enhancement and if there weren't any societal stigma surrounding it I'm sure they would.  As long as he applies it well and it suits him I say why not?

Re: Men who wear " Eye Liner " and " Mascara " ?...Really ?

I was thinking about this and I still can't get with it. I could picture my husband and I sitting together, each of us with makup mirrors in front of us, with him putting on mascara and asking me which shade of eyeshadow he should wear.. He He.

I do agree though in using concealers if necessary.  I used to have a teenage nephew who lived with us, and once in a while he would ask to borrow a little liquid makup just to cover his zits.  Small amounts though.

I honestly don't know any straight men who wear eyeliner and mascara. (unless they are actors) I don't particularly care what someone else does or wears. It's their buisness not mine.

I do agree however with the comment about guys who have unibrows... please pluck.... It makes your face more attractive. glad

My husband lets me trim his eyebrows or else they end up looking like Albert Einsteins's.

I am a straight man who loves to wear heavy makeup, red lipstick, blush and all.

Lol just kidding!

To each his own, but the concealer part I think shouldn't really be an issue anyways. Since when did clear skin become something that only women have? That's got nothing to do with gender in the least. It's not like blue eye shadow or shiny purple lips for instance that clearly no one's got naturally!

And yes the eyebrow part is quite important. First of all this has nothing to do with makeup. Second, it will make you look so much more awake and alert, clean and fresh. As the other's have said, not much plucking is needed. Just focus on those stray hairs and the ones in between, so that you don't get that unatractive  "unibrow" thingy. This is basic. Your eyebrows frame your face, and they're just about the most important thing for how you look. If your eyebrows look good, half of the "work" is done already.

I think it's easy to forget that in the past men wore makeup just as much as women did. Different cultures have different views on things but many actors wear makeup. I wear make up if I'm going out sometimes I just can't be bothered though.

to Vetiver there's nothing wrong with being bisexual. There is also no bisexual or gay code that say's they must wear makeup.

I'm so with you on the clothes thing. I was at the library downtown once and there was this rather large (round) man who had the "gangsta" look with the really baggy shorts around his thighs.... (I really don't get the "fashion" that shows your boxer shorts. they call it underwear because your supposed to wear it UNDER!!! not showing..) Anyway he was walking and and his shorts fell down taking his boxers with them and it showed his crown jewels!!!!  usch I wish I hadn't seen that. I'm wounded for life! Agreed, I don't think it is feminizing for a man to wear concealer.

I also don't want people to think that anything I have said is a jab against someone who is gay/bi. I don't care what people do in their private lives, its none of my buisness. I have freinds who are gay. I actually would prefer to know right away if someone is gay rather then if I didn't know and ended up flirting at the guy and then find out causing a rather awkward situation....

Re: Men who wear " Eye Liner " and " Mascara " ?...Really ?

Yes, I love guyliner. However, I don't like to see anyone's (guy or gal) makeup, as an everyday look. Well, unless it's red lipstick...I just love that look; but this is about men- and I wouldn't like that look on a man.

I don't know why they would bother with colored mascara - it hardly ever looks natural on anyone; better to very closely and lightly line the upper lash line.

Re: Men who wear " Eye Liner " and " Mascara " ?...Really ?

Sorry this is a little off topic.......I like to wear purple or blue mascara once in a while when I feel in a fun mood. I wear purple with purple eyeshadows and blue with blue eyeshadows. My eyelashes are naturally very dark so when I do wear it, it just gives the slightest tint of color that you have to look twice to realize that there is any. I also love the bright red lipstick! When I wear that I do very neutral makeup, and try to do the 40's 50's look. I don't wear bright red with colored eyeshadows, I feel it looks too clown-like. lol

I can picture it looking very nice with dark eyelashes and similar colored eyeshadow. The bright red lipstick look can be very sexy and daring if it's done the right way. So kudos to you!  applause

Yeah, I guess it might be too much with both colorful eyes and lips lol!

I actually love eyeliner on a guy...and black nail polish. I think it's the whole vampire look that it gives them.

Example of extreme vampire hotness in eyeliner...

And he wears black nail polish too.

Im not a fan guys wearing mascara or make-up, unless it's an essential part to boost your image.....adding some extra mysterious and dark appeal, like on Ville Valo  winkhttp://4.bp.blogspot.com/_BrdxFNo0xtU/SUbYSz7cWmI/AAAAAAAAAmU/VDYlPC2Uf-o/s320/1105038576_evaloquiz2.jpg
