Topic: Knock Off Perfumes???

Are there any knock off perfumes that you enjoy? Are there any that are very similar to the originals?

Re: Knock Off Perfumes???

Try this site for "designer imposters" they have good prices! I think the Twilight Mist is just the same as BBW Twilight Woods! I also like the "Swept Away" mist....smells just like Victoria's Secret Love Spell!

If you live in the USA, you can also purchase many of these at Walmart stores.

Hi sweet star!  smile

All of my "Designer" perfumes are cruelty free imitations/knock offs (same thing)  smile

I buy from a few different sellers on Etsy.com/as well as other online shops.

I will give links to you. For some of the knock offs,I have never smelled the original scent. Some of them I remember from smelling on other people. I have a really good memory, and store these things well in the ol' noodle.

I have an imitation of Escada Magnetism. I never smelled the original scent of it. I just know that the imitation I have smells beautiful, green, lush, creamy, sweet, and warm. I do seem to have trouble getting this one to last on my skin, but I do not blame the seller. It's funny too,as I have read other members' reviews here on Magnetism, and they seem to have the same problem! :0)

Another Knock off I have is of Lancome Hypnose. It is made by the same lovely seller who makes the Magnetism one. I have never smelled original Hypnose on my skin, but I recognize my knock off, I mean it is very familiar to me. I am sensing that other people around me have worn it. The Hypnose knock off is creamy, unusual, green vetiver in the dry down. It is vanilla,a unique vanilla, puffy clouds and air vanilla, something that almost smells like bubblegum. It is very special! Also this Hypnose knock off lasts 8-10 hours on my skin! :0)

I have smelled Lolita Lempicka (the original anise and creamy vanilla scent) on other people, and I have 2 really good imitations I bought of it. I am very happy with them! They last long on my skin too! Last about 10 hours I have noticed!

I have a few different shops on Etsy that I buy from. I highly recommend them all and I love them all! I will give links at the end. :0)

I have tried 3 different knock offs of Viva La Juicy. I have never smelled the orginal,BUT all three of the sellers I bought it from have great feedback/ and lots of buyers who say they do great jobs of imitating the original designer perfumes!  smile

Another I have not smelled the original of: Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain. I have two imitations of this as well! I love it! It is not what you would call "sweet". It is more smoky, strong spice vanilla.

I have three reasons I love to buy from these sellers:

1. Most important to me,they are animal cruelty free

2. I love to support small family businesses instead of heartless, money driven corporations ( and I am not saying this about Lush/Gorilla,Pacifica Perfumes,Lavanila,L'Occitane,or Garden Botanika. I love and support those companies listed. I just usually cannot afford them)

Which brings me to number 3. I don't have a lot of "fun" money usually. So I am drawn to the Etsy shops/other smaller online shops not only for their ethics, but also for their affordability.  smile Etsy themselves as a corporation does make money off of the sellers there. But most of the money one gives to a shop on Etsy will go to the shop owner, not to Etsy.

Happy shopping! :0)

Re: Knock Off Perfumes???

Good links, tenderhearted!  Very good info.  I actually hadn't considered the "cruelty free" concept when it came to fragrances before.  Something to think about.

Seeking a sample of Idylle Duet Rose Patchouli!  Please PM if you know where I could find this or I'd be glad to swap for a sample.

Thank you Amy! There are cruelty free perfumers out there.  smile

It is just a matter of looking, and asking till you get the answers you seek. If a company is cruelty free, they will be proud of it. They will have nothing to hide from us,the consumer.  smile

Peace
