Nevermind reviews that say this one is too sweet, it is not. It's sweet, you got that right, but not TOO sweet, sugar and vanilla in a very subtle and prestigous way, inoffensive, stays close to skin but still has good sillage. And is one of the most pleasant scent out there, be sure to try it!

I just have to disagree- IMO, this is probably the most offensive Men's fragrance I have ever encountered. I've smelled this on multiple Men and it always turns my stomach. To my nose it smells like rotten fruit in an unwashed garbage bin on a hot sunny day.

Well, is your point of view. I agree with those who say it's not too sweet and a very good scent. In all my life I tried many fragrances but I never found rotten fruit smell not garbage not anything like this. I respect the perfume creators and also the people who like different scents than I do, and for this reason I never refer to a fragrance that I don't like as a garbage or rubbish.

Re: Subtle, pleasant, inoffensive...

My recommendations are below. Both are subtle, light and inoffensive scents, but also very unique and classy. The Gucci is black tea and cinnamon while the Chanel is creamy vanilla lemon.

You might also like the following as a light inoffensive everyday scent:

Sorry, just to clarify, I didn't mean "garbage" as in trashy/ cheap or to be thrown away- Of course we know that the house of Givenchy is well made, topnotch ingredients and classy. I mean it literally as in that is the note or accord I detect- overripe fruit in a closed container in the sun. It's also got big projection compared to something like Acqua Di Parma Colonia, JPG- Le Male or Gendarme Gendarme. Regardless of whether you love or hate the composition, this is a big bold Men's fragrance. Some people may even find this desirable depending on their body chemistry- but as the original question asked for "Subtle" and "Unoffensive"- this one doesn't fit under this category, IMO.

Flavorite, thanks for your last explanation, is well appreciated. Yes, I know some people may think Pi is too strong or projecting too much, but as in all perfumes it depends on every skin. When I tried Pi for the first time I believed it would be too strong but on me, it was very close to skin with a very soft projection. I used to wear this perfume in my office and it was so subtile on me that even my mates didn't notice its fragrance if not very close to me. When they were closer they felt a subtile vanilla scent, not fruity but soft flowery instead and not actually strong. This is also one reason I always discourage people to make blind buys, I always recommend to try them in their own skin, they react so different in everyone.

All advises about perfumes should be taken as a guide to try on oneself, not a guide to immediately buy to avoid undesired surprises. Once more your explanation is well received, thanks.
