Topic: Has anyone ever tried eyelash extensions?

My aunt & cousins are very beautiful. They actually have eyelash extensions & recommend it. I already have dark, long lashes but my mom seems interested & wants me to get them too. Has anyone tried it before? How was it?  78

Re: Has anyone ever tried eyelash extensions?

I was going to get some because I have fair, straight eyelashes, I think they said around $80 for a set.  They said they would last between 2-4 weeks as long as you avoid saunas, hot steamy baths, hot steamy showers and hot, humid weather.  I never got round to trying them because it was summer at the time.

I say give it a go if it's not too hot where you live, let us know how it goes.

It's winter down under

Thanks for replying! My aunt got hers done for $30 a set. Its not hot here in the bay area, but I always take hot showers  neutral I might give it a try. I'll definitely let you know how it goes  glad

Re: Has anyone ever tried eyelash extensions?

No, but one of my friends is OBSESSED with them. She gets them done every other week religiously. You just have to be careful not to like rub your eyes or dig your face in your pillow when you sleep, etc so that they last longer. I have also heard that if you sleep on them weird, they can become misshapen. But my friends lashes look great. She has a friend come to her house to do it. I think she charged around 100$ for the set and maybe 50$ for lash fills. I personally can't justify the expense since I have like 100 pairs of lashes I can glue on when I want. But if I had more disposable income, sure I would totally do it!

$30??? Hmmm. I have never heard of them being offered that cheap, I have shopped around and most places start around 100$ for a full set. Did hers turn out okay? Are you sure they were the "real" ones and not the Ardell-type fake extensions? Wait, are they in the USA?

Re: Has anyone ever tried eyelash extensions?

For 30.00 a set it's worth a try but if you like them you'll want to keep doing them.  I always think of things like that and manicures as "high maintenance".  It would be great for a special ocasion like your wedding, professional photographs, or whenever you want to look extra special.

Variety is the spice of life.

sweetiepea161616, yes they got it done in the USA.

Sucarie, I agree! I was only interested for my cousins wedding.

Re: Has anyone ever tried eyelash extensions?

I have really wanted to try them, but I'm glad to get the information about steam and humidity. Louisiana gets SOOOO hot & steamy; I don't think they'd work at all here!

I'll be watching this topic for more information!  Thanks!!! Great topic superglad
