Devil’s Dandy - A diabolically seductive blend of elegant dark leathers, wild black currants and forest blackberries soaked in blood-red merlot wine, mahogany wood, brooding musk, and carnal patchouli with the faintest whisper of smoke and brimstone. Thank you to Wichapi for providing the description.
This is my favorite out of the four samples I received; Devil’s Dandy, Vixen, Mesnée d'Hellequin, and Hellcat. I wore this today because the weather has been a little cooler this week.
Upon initial application, I can detect wild blackberries, wisps of smoke, black upholstered leather, and red wine notes. My skin usually does not get along with black currant or berries, but this one smells really nice. It conjures imagery like eating ripened blackberries, and sipping an aromatic red wine while sitting on an aged leather chair near the fireplace; many luxuries I could only daydream about.
Wearing the scent on the chest pulse point really brings out the black currant. It simmers down after four hours, on my skin, but continues to linger emitting a musky blackberry and smoky leather fragrance.
