I have Flowerbomb and BR Rosewood and like them both. I do not think Rosewood should be considered a substitute at all for because of the amber notes in it- which to me is very distinct in a nice way. There is a similarity between the two, but if you have them both it is really clear how different they are. Rosewood gives me a much warmer creamy woodsy vibe. FB has a unique punchy deep floral sweetness from the get go. The dry downs are completely different. Flowerbomb stays sweeter and more crisp while Rosewood is muddled , vanilla/powdery and creamy

No one mentioned Nanette yet, so if you see it give it a try as well. Again like Rosewood, there are slight similarities to FB but they are still distinct enough. It's not as sweet as Flowerbomb. I think Nanette is more floral than Rosewood, still much different than FB. This is newer to me, but I am starting to like it a lot. It is a great fragrance, similar to Flowerbomb to me in the middle notes, I would say more suitable for anytime. Flowerbomb is stronger, more of a statement purfume.
Good call to those that suggested/compared FB to Can Can & also Bath and Body works Sensual Amber. Now that I think about it there are similarities to those as well. I like & have those ones as well...ha! go figure. I think I need to go and and try Black XS next.
Overall, Flowerbomb is still wonderfully special and distinct enough from others. Still nothing is for everyone. Good luck finding something you like, do tell us when you do.
