Vintage and Discontinued avon Scents (Page 4 of 5)

Avon Topaze was my mother's favourite. Hers was the classic yellow atomiser with the plastic gemstone on the cap.

She also had Somewhere, Occur, Rapture and Wishing, possibly Charisma and Moonwind as well.

Just for old time's sake I'm looking out for these vintages but trying to avoid all those novelty bottles, which is easier said than done!

I would pay a lot for a bottle of Avon's Brocade.  I found a website that said they could duplicate it, and that they had a bottle of it to use to be able to copy it.  Has anybody had success with these companies duplicating discontinued scents?  I haven't seen Brocade since the mid '70's.

one of my very favorites was unspoken. i remember wearing that a lot. it reminded me of revlon's jontue. also loved... topaz, honeysuckle, pur blanca, sweet honesty and a few more i can't remember at the moment.

I wish I had bought Always and Blue Rush for her while I still had the chance. Kept waiting for them to get discounted, then the next thing I realise is that they've vanished! discontinued from Australia. Pity... really adored those two.

I would love to find  some  avon ariane products.  Even a candle would do. 

I had: Apple Blossom, Roses Roses, Field Flowers, Nearness, Ariane, loved those and are all empty, had always 2 bottles of each. My daughter broke my bottle of Toccara-Surreal called in Europe, never had it again cause had only one of it.

I have still Sweet Honesty, Candid, Timeless, Treselle Silver.

And some more older ones double new Charisma, Elegance, Occur, Unspoken, Emprise. Cause my daughther didn't like them I never used all up, so second bottles are still new back in the cubboard. My taste changed a lot to, more fruity-floral and roses.

So if anyone wants something real badly contact me, due to the high postage is why I never began to trade in the first place. Thought it didn't make sence to send back to USA where they are made. Only once trade a bottle in Europe.

Sissi- I recently picked up a couple of vintage Avons @ a local vintage/antique shop. Arianne( almost died when I saw it as I had not smelt it since 1979) and Charisma( my Aunt used to wear it all the time.) These were very well preserved as there was hardly any rancidity all. The Arianne is the big floral I remember and the Charisma has that soapy feel.

I say comb your vintage/antique shops, Ebay and thrift stores on a weekly basis. I found some Le Dix de Balenciaga last week. Good Luck.
