Topic: 50 ml Vintage Opium

I have a question for anyone that has this 50 ml vintage bottle of Opium. I have the 100ml and now a 50 ml, and the 50 ml seems so much smaller to me.

Could you measure your bottle for me so I might compare measurements to see if I got taken, it says 1.6 on the bottom but I just can't beleave it is. Please measure from the top of the glass ( not the cap ) to bottom and the width ( diametor ) of the bottle from the bottom, as in this picture. Let me know what measurement you get in inches?

Those are exactly the measurements of my 1.6 oz bottle

I have a 50ml vintage, and this is my bottle's measurements: 3 1/2 in. high, 4 7/8 in. diameter. I find it hard to measure the bottle width, so I go with diameter.

Simple yet complicated.

Thao that seems awfully wide so you must have taken a tape measue and wrapped it all the way around. I just measured the sidth the width of the bottle turning it over where the size sticker is. What you gave me sounds like the circomference.

Anyway It sounds like I have the right size bottle.

I went through 3 bottles of Opium back when it was just released in the late 70'ies. All my bottles - including the first one that I got the same year it was released - looked just like the picture in the database and not like this picture at all.... Strange, isn't it? (All of mine were 50ml too as far as I remember.)

I don't have my opuim anymore, but I have had this bottle, and the other terracotta bottles with the small window). Like EK, I had most of my Opium's in the 70's and 80's. But I am sure I had this bottle.

According to the batch calculator, the two bottle I have that look like this date at 1999 and 2003.

Okay I took a picture of all three bottles together.

Starting on the left this is a 50ml bottle of Opium Secret de Parfum

Middle is 50 ml bottle of Opium

right is a 100ml bottle of Opium

I realize the one on the left has this meta/plastic case around it and must take up some space. It seemed so much bigger then the regular 50 ml opium

Yes, it's circomference, not diameter tongue
