Your wedding set is stuunning tigerhearted!!
robynloveperfume holy s%#t im so jealous!! mind if I borrow your jewelry and fragrance collection sometime?
Thank-you, flowerbombforever. But you know, with the amount of loose gems I own, I have to be so careful, so unfortunately, I don't get to enjoy everything I own as much as I wish. And while I do have most of it, a few of my very favorite jewellery pieces are hidden away for protection, too. I just don't want to take a chance of being robbed one day. I'll never forget when my auntie's house was broken into about 10 years ago, and it was just devastating for all of us.
Ladies,
Have a look at these beauties! If I had the budget, those would be mine!

Yes, they are very beautiful, full_of_colours. I own one zambian emerald pair of earrings, but my sister owns a columbian emerald ring. It is super-gorgeous, and I'm sure that these earrings are also even more beautiful in real life.

Yes!
The design is gorgeous, yellow gold is beautiful and emeralds are one of my favourite stones!
Beautiful Jewels Ladies!! Just remember, wear them as much as you can, and enjoy them. They love to be taken out of their wee boxes, and exposed to the world, so all can appreciate their beauty!

VERY true! And when purchasing fine jewelry, it's always wise to look at a purchase as an investment in addition to beauty and appeal. Consider karat content, stone size and rating (carat and clarity), and hallmarks or signatures.
In the past, there were two brutal occasions where I've had to sell some pieces from my collection to cover unexpected family emergencies. These were times I was glad to have a discerning eye as well as wise guidance in my original purchases, as the re-sale yielded over six times+ the investment cost per piece. People close to me expressed concern over my having to part with the jewelry pieces, but after all is said and done, they're only things, and things can be replaced.
Then again... maybe its just the gypsy in my soul (where gold and gems have always been ready currency as monetary systems change or fail.)

+1
I couldn't agree more!
This is one thing my parents have instilled in my siblings and myself, that 'you can't take it with you'. I've basically come to think of owning jewellery & jewels as being much like a "current caretaker" of them because even if one is bathed in them in their caskets (egyptian kings and queens from ancient times, I'm talking to you), it will not matter nor affect them once they are dead.
There's a fine line with appreciating stuff such as beautiful jewels and handbags and such, and loving it (even more than ppl) and believing it elevates one because he/she owns it. This applies to large, beautiful houses, vehicles, land, and yes, even fragrances.
Here's my latest acquisition... I absolutely love these.

What a pretty set, Wichapi. Turquoise is such a bright & happy stone.
my daughter is pregnant and due 6/2. i ordered this for her today and i'm going to give it to her when she has the baby. just simple white gold with diamond chip accents. under $200.00, but i just thought it was cute.

^OHHHHHH Congrats, boardbat!!! Here's to a healthy mama & bebe!! Beyond being absolutely adorable, the pendant is a wonderful future heirloom.
And thanks, Robynlovesperfume. I have some Navajo sig pieces in sterling that I really love, but the greenish turquoise in 24k was just soooo spectacular - I couldn't resist.

Wow thats very beautiful!
I am a fine jewellery and gemstone collector. This is my collection, with the exception of a few missing items which are getting appraised at the moment, and 1-14k bracelet, which is off getting fixed. Because I own so many loose gemstones, I decided not to really show them due to the fact it's not part of jewellery anyway, plus, it would just take way too long to show it them all.

Some closer-up shots of some of my rings. As anyone can obviously tell, I love all different kinds of gemstones. I won't list what each one is, but all of these are mainly 14k gold, with gemstone and diamonds, while the 5 in the very top rows are 10k and gemstone/diamond. Most of the earrings are 10k, but some are 14k. The bracelet you see in the pic is 18k gold.

These here is another close pic of some rings. All of them are 14k, except for that somewhat ugly plain-grey band one, that one is tungsten.
![]()
Here is one of my diamond rings. It is 14k yellow gold with .33ct centre stone & .25ct worth of diamonds in the sides. Total diamond weight: .58ct

Here is my 14k yellowgold 9ctw-Kunzite ring. I had to save my money for this back in 2004, when I purchased it for myself:

Here is a 14Kpink&white gold completely natural Pink Diamond Ring, with white diamonds on the sides. These diamonds came from the Argyle Mine in Australia, which is the largest depositor of natural pink diamonds. Again, when I bought this, I really had to scrimp and save for a while...

These next 2 are 14k gold rings. The 1st one is yellow and white gold, with the centre diamond weighing .55ctw, and .10ctw of side stones. Total carat weight: .65ctw diamonds. The pic below it is a plain 14k Rose Gold Roman Numerals Band:

All in this next set of pics are just sterling silver and gemstones. Again, all genuine stones. The 4 identical rings you see are Sterling Silver with Morganite as the centre stone, and Goshenite (white beryl) as the side stones. The last pic are a few loose Rose Quartz Gems.

Here is a pic of some 14k chains/necklaces, and 14K gold citrine earrings.
Underneath that is a 25ct Morganite & a 32ct Kunzite loose gemstones.

This last pic is just a stock photo of a ring I own. However, it's off getting appraised at the moment. It is a 14K pink&white gold Kunzite and diamond ring.
Thank-you, princesspopart!
This is just the pictures of my blue collection of sterling silver jewelry.

^Lovely collection! I never used to wear blue, but for the past year I've been so taken with it!
I used to buy only gold, but then I got into sterling silver because of the wide range of semi precious stones used. It was an off shoot of my gem and mineral collection. Now I prefere my sterling silver jewelry. When the collection became too large I started buying fine leather jewelry cases in rainbow colors and matching the jewelry to the case color. Now I don't have trouble finding what to wear. Unfortunatly I don't have photos of my amethyst/purple collection.
I still need jewelry cases in yellow, purple, and coral. They have been hard to find. I prefere locking train cases in real leather. Once I have enough cases to hold all my jewelry I will thin out my collection.
Each case has at least one rough mineral specimine. The upper right corner of the blue box contains an aquamarine crystal.

This is some of my pink & green collection of sterling silver jewelry.

This is some of my black, white, and red collection of sterling silver jewelry.

Sigh... No more silver on this skin chemistry unless its pure. Even "sterling" has base metals.

This is some of my orange, yellow, and brown sterling silver jewelry.

I have a homemade security system that includes inside and outside video surveilance, motion sensors, secure locks and an alarm. A neighbor attempted to rob my house and I saw it on video. I then moved my jewelry to a safe deposit box except for a few pieces to wear. She finally succeded in breaking in and robbing me of 2,000.00 worth of jewelry and dvd player. She was convicted and sentanced to 4 years prison, 15 years probation, and paying restitution. While she was in prison her house burned down and her children were taken away from her. She got out and paid me restitution but then violated her probation and is now serving the entire 15 year prison sentance. If I had been home she would have been shot. It does NOT pay to mess with those who are prepared.

I have just added my latest "anniversary" ring to my jewelry slideshow on Photobucket. My husband and I have several anniversaries that we like to observe... when the romance began, when we began living together, and we were married. The Tiffany knuckle ring is for 18 years of living together.
