Re: Do you use online retailers?

As a person who lives down under here in New Zealand shipping and import duty costs mean only buying in large bulk would make online purchasing a considered option in my country.  I once bought a lot of fragrances from Fragrancenet.com because they had the best S&H + item costs.  But now they've had to comply with international shipping costs I haven't ordered from them.  Ebay or Amazon is not much of an option because in most cases they don't ship outside of the US or Canada.  I've known a lot of fellow Kiwi's who've ordered through StrawberryNet.com mainly because they advertise free shipping but I worked out in some cases they still worked as been more expensive then other online sites.  Otherwise I have nothing else to complain about when its come to my experiences of buying fragrances online.  It's always nice to unwrap that special parcel in the mail.

Their is an Auction website in my country called Trademe.co.nz where I now go for my online purchasing.  It means shipping is faster and cheaper.

Re: Do you use online retailers?

I was very happy with my recent experience buying samples/decants from The Posh Peasant.

Good customer service and prompt international shipping at reasonable rates means I'll be back.

Re: Do you use online retailers?

Ok my samples came in today but I have mixed feeling, two of my samples leaked, one not so bad but the SL Ambre Saltan leaked bad, idk if I have enough to make a decent test out of it. Should I email CS?

Re: Do you use online retailers?

I'd try contacting customer service if I were in your shoes. I'd take pics, add them in the email, and nonchalantly mention that I was apart of an on-line fragrance community.

Anyone ever used Yamanni.com?

Whatever the question, I know that love is the answer

Re: Do you use online retailers?

Yes. I use Luckyscent and FragranceX and always have had great service by both, as well as genuine products.

Re: Do you use online retailers?

Strawberrynet ships in only 2 weeks to Indonesia with a very economical shipping cost (10% from ur order). That if the perfume i'm looking for is not available in my country. Otherwise, numerous local online store are very helpful saving money. I don't do dept store... They're far more expensive. kapitulation

Re: Do you use online retailers?

I have used FragranceX many times. I pay shipping, but last Christmas they had a free shipping offer, here, to Croatia. (I bought 2 perfumes then). I also use a great site, called Escentual.com. It is based in the UK. (I also pay shipping). I use Feelunique.com, as they have worldwide free shipping (UK based). But they don't have a huge selection) Got my Annick Goutal samples from them). I also buy on Amazon.UK, and if have friends coming over here, they bring it in their case! Frag.X is good, but have to wait a long time for deliveries, like for example, they shipped my perfume on the 24th FEB., and I am still WAITING!! It could have been due to some airline strikes in Europe, and the Easter period. But think I will use Escentual from now on.

Re: Do you use online retailers?

I have used both FragranceX and StrawberryNet and with both I recieve my parcel in a week or less. FragranceX even offers full tracking and express delivery to Australia, even if I only select the 'standard' option. I've been really impressed with both.

I used theperfumedcourt once and it took about 4 weeks to arrive, in 2 seperate packages and one of my samples had leaked everywhere so was only half full. I don't think I will order with them again.

amazon, parfum1, fragrancenet, scentiments, beautyencounter

Re: Do you use online retailers?

I have never ordered on line before.  I prefer going into the shop, smelling, feeling the bottles, asking, talking to the assistant, taking my time, perhaps returning on another day, and then the act of actuallybuying the EDT.  Then going home, opening the packet (while I reak of different EDT's) and enjoying the last bit of the shopping high.

I do intend to buy online some day, but the shipping and import taxes here in South Africa are a bloody rip off.

Re: Do you use online retailers?

I buy 99% of my perfumes online and that' will never change. The prices in the shops here are horrendous, typically 2-3 times as much as online. I do use the stores for testing the perfumes thay have available, but I only buy there if it's a real bargain.

Do unto others as you would have them do to you.

Re: Do you use online retailers?

I only buy fragrances online or via mail order because it's a lot cheaper. I have no interest in beefing up Sephora's quarterly profit by paying an extortionate price for something that is in the end, a luxury and no more than alcohol+scented chemicals.

I've had very good experiences with FragranceDirect, I totally recommend them.

Re: Do you use online retailers?

Have had the best luck from Fragrance Net and Sephora and Perfumania.....also the retailers which shouldn't be overlooked: Macy's, Saks (which has the most offerings of perfumes of any of them, Neiman Marcus, etc.

I only order when anyone has FREE shipping. I never pay for shipping for any amount of the order. That sometimes makes up the so-called discount houses which sometimes are sold our or have a fairly high bar for fragrance amount. I don't order from EBay anymore having had more than one bad experience....have found Beauty Encounter at Amazon very reliable.

Also have dealt with Estee Lauder and the other perfume houses (rarely) like Chanel, Dior, and Lancome, etc. And also only when they offer FREE shipping, too. EL has a great return policy - they will take anything back even if you have tried it. Don't know if the others do.

In the past I have big disappointed with Fragrance X and Strawberry net but can't remember why. So I steer clear of them.

Re: Do you use online retailers?

I used The Perfumed Court recently.  It took about 8 days for me to get an email saying that my order was being processed and then 8 days to reach me.  I thought that was fairly slow service but was pleased with my samples.

Re: Do you use online retailers?

After reading various horrible customer experiences with online fragrance sellers I am somewhat leery to order a scent that is hard to find and not sold on the legit sites like Fragrance X. I have seen one that I like that is listed on both Ebay and Amazon but after reading the negative feedbacks, a Red flag went up for me. I was considering an Amazon seller named Tuccini but there is always the stinking possibility that the fume could be a fake. And it even says on the returns and refunds section of the storefront that most items can be returned if they are unopened or undamaged. Of course I would have to OPEN the item to use it so I can determine that it is satisfactory and not just a pretty bottle with PineSol in it. I was also about to order the scent pictured below from Magazines.com and the shipping was going to be more than the fragrance itself so I quickly left that site.

The item I am looking for is http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/m.10576.jpg  Jeanne Arthes Sexy Me No1

If anybody knows of a legit fragrance storefront on Amazon or Ebay please share. This is probably posted elsewhere but it never hurts to ask. And I did check out the feedback on the Ebay sellers carrying this and unfortunately there are alot of negative feedbacks as well. :(

Thank you in advance.
