Topic: Dental Offices

This is the third and final attempt to find out and define niche or designer scents that resembles dental office. Primarily methyl benzoate, formo creasol, metacresyl acetate, acrylic monomers or eugenol. In case you have no idea how any of these smell, just close your eyes and imagine your last visit to your dentist. Also, I do not care if their receptionist wore Giorgio BH.   usch

Good luck to all of us and godspeed.

Re: Dental Offices

After testing several Tokyo Milk scents, it seemed to me, they have some "at the dentist" note in common. And I like that note.

For example

http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/m.4703.jpg Tokyo Milk Parfumarie Curiosite Kabuki

http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/m.10042.jpg Tokyo Milk Parfumarie Curiosite Lapsang Su Chong

Maybe it is my personal hallucination, lol.

Re: Dental Offices

I'm not sure about the modern chemical compounds but dental surgeries used to reek of oil of cloves which used to form the basis of a lot of dressings. My dad was a dentist and this smell brings back so many memories of him.

Re: Dental Offices

For me it was http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/m.3827.jpg Guerlain Vetiver. Oh boy did that send me on a trip to the dentist - and it wasn't the dentist that was wearing it, I guess vetiver is used as a fragrance for different cleaning products there. I've been to 2-3 dental offices and they all smelled similar.

Re: Dental Offices

The dentist smells soo bitter, it hurts my nose. I hope there never will be a fragrance that smells like the dentists. Nevertheless good luck on your search.

Re: Dental Offices

At the risk of another tongue in cheek name calling by a halfwit,

I think this one actually has something in it that reminds me of the bitter combination that I can smell at the dentist.

And that's exactly why I don't like it. Dentists hurt!

Be nice!

Re: Dental Offices

Honestly, oud smells like a dental office to me.  It has an antiseptic smell so...take your pick of fragrances!
