I suppose it was the sweet smell of motherhood from my mum when i was born
otherwise probably
Muelhens 4711 Original Eau de Cologne
from my grandma
I know I have smelled many on people, but the first time I saw a real bottle of EDT and smelled it was at Walgreens and it was Antonio Banderas Blue Seduction
. It started my love affair with perfume haha
I don't remember my mother or any female relative wearing perfume, but the first perfume(s) I received and remember smelling are some of these

I think it was:
Cacharel Anais Anais
on my mom. It was beautiful on her.
I can't remember exactly,but I guess it was
Revlon Charlie that my mum had and I didn't like it
Hi Fellow Perfume Lovers,
This is my first response, for some reason I never sign up for these things and I'm not sure why.
The first perfume I recall smelling was Estee Lauder's Youth Dew. The original (not the later version that misses the mark for me). I also recall Coty's L'Aimant and 4711. My grandmother on my Mother's side wore both of these but it was my mother who was the wearer of Youth Dew. I still love it. My grandmother on my father's side wore Chanel No 5.
Estée Lauder Youth-Dew
Curara
a mini coffret of this on my beautiful grandmothers dresser.
it was so amazing, lady like, womanly....it my head swim even at the tender age of five.
My mother has this (same bottle from 25 years ago I'm sure), mostly because her own mother wore it. Most certainly the first perfume I ever smelled.
Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche
And my mother owned a real sandalwood fan that had retained much of its scent throughout the years: I used to sniff at it curiously when I found it on her dressing table. I loved the aroma.

Wow, great classic taste on both sides of the family. Have you tried the Youth Dew bath oil? Apparently it's even more beautiful than the perfume.
Ok there was one I have no idea what it was... a crystal/glass swan with a silver crown cap! Anyone know? And these:
Pino Silvestre Pino Silvestre Original
Shulton Company Old Spice Original
Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche
Maurer & Wirtz 4711 Original Eau de Cologne

Bourjois Soir de Paris (Evening in Paris) But, of course it was in the dark blue glass bottle, with the silver cap) That was my Mom's perfume...it was a long, long time ago, but can still smell it in my memories!
Evyan White Shoulders This was my Aunt's favorite, and she also wore.....
Guerlain Shalimar.........they were the three first perfumes I was introduced to!
This was the first perfume I ever smelled. It was my mom's, and she had it on her dresser. She let me smell it. I don't recall her ever wearing it, though. I liked it, though.
Worth Je Reviens.
But *certainly* not the current formulation!
It was in the 1960s. I was about 9 or 10 years old and I was at a school fete. There was a lucky dip - one for boys and one for girls.
I handed over my pennies and, with a great sigh of anticipation, dipped my hand into the big cardboard box.
Out came what seemed to be a tiny flat piece of card, wrapped in gift paper. It was so small. I felt my dip had been most unlucky.
But when I tore open the wrapping it was an entirely different story, for inside was a vial of something magical – blue perfume! It smelled divine, and even today I can close my eyes and sense that wonderful parfum.
When I showed my mother she fell in love with it too. It was decades later that I figured out what ‘Je Reviens’ meant, and I groan when I recall my clumsy pronunciation!

Bourjois Soir de Paris (Evening in Paris) was the one most women wore when I was younger.
Giorgio Armani Sensi my first perfume when i was 17 till early twenties! perfect! i'm thinking of buying it again!
The Body Shop Strawberry Perfume Oil I put this one but actually, the first fragrance I owned was the Strawberry Shortcake one from the perfumed doll line... oh, such sweet and fond memories. I used to drag it everywhere with me! Good topic!
it was
Estée Lauder Youth-Dew bath oil and solid, I remember that there was a touch of Eastern mysticism, I was a little girl who dreamed of distant lands... it was such a strong impression
Bourjois Soir de Paris (Evening in Paris) My Mom always had a bottle of this on her dressing table. I saved the bottles, but they got lost in one of several moves. I'll have to find one for old times sake.
But the bottle was that tiny squared one. It was the first french perfume I I've ever smelled. It was in the 80's and I was a little girl. My friend's mom used to wear it and I was bewitched to that smell. I remember I wanted it so badly. It was very difficult to find imported perfum in Brazil, then. I remember my mom gave it to me as a birthday gift, and she bought it at a jewlry. There was only one jewlry in the city ( I lived in a very small town) and only there you could find the imported! It was like a dream coming true. I did not expect that!
But the first perfume ever I remember was made of sandalwood extrait. It was produced in my country but I don't remember the name, I only remember the bottle shape, it was like an arabian dream's bottle
As a brazilian, I think I know this sandalwood extrait: Tarot, from Natura. My aunt used it...
The first essence was "Seiva de Alfazema", in the early years of school here in Brazil. Many girls used that in the morning. It is a soft lavender eau de cologne and many girls used it in class. Good memories...
