Topic: Is Clinique Happy similar to Light Blue?

I haven't smelled Happy in years and years. A lady was wearing it... or she thought that was the name. It smelled very similar to Light Blue! But she discribed the box correctly. I don't remember Happy smelling like that though. Strange! Almost as strange as being unsure of the name of your own perfume.

Have any of you noticed similarities between the two?

I don't find them similar, I find Happy to be more of a light floral and Light Blue to be more of a fresh and citrus scent but that could just be me and I have not smelled Happy for quite a while so I could be totally wrong. Sorry, that probably was not much help... hmm

I used to have Clinique's Happy years ago and I recently re-sniffed it. I don't think it smells anything like Light Blue, IMO. I think Happy is more floral, which is why I don't wear it anymore.

That is annoying when someone doesn't know (if they truly don't know, and they're not just trying to keep their big, secretive perfume from you). Are people really that out-of-touch with what they put on their body everyday?

Perhaps you're right. It might be a LB knock off and she won't admit it. Annoying.

They aren't the same at all.  To me, Happy is sweeter than Light Blue.  It could have been I Love Love.

I've smelled both - wore Happy briefly. I don't think they are similar.

To be honest, I don't even think they are close at all. I remember wearing Happy all through middle school. I still love it, but I don't think it smells like Light Blue.

Light Blue and Happy smell completely different to me.

Maybe it was one of the Happy flankers? I haven't smelled all of them so I don't know if any of them are similar to Light Blue, or if they have orange boxes. 

There are other perfumes with "happy" in the name too. Did she actually say Clinique Happy?

Or maybe she just got the name wrong, and/or the box color wrong.

Not at all. Happy was my sister's signature for a brief time. It's a sweeter, juicier fruity (citrus- orange/mandarine) floral. Light Blue is a drier citrus (tart green apple and lemon) woody - especially in the dry down- scent.
