Must have been a mirage...

It was there. Plus an article on the News Page.
Official launch is scheduled for 14th of August. We got friendly notice tht they would gladly appreciate if we would take news down because photos are not final and approved and basically that material leaked somehow and somebody put it on public domain without their approval.
For the sake of good relations with one of the most legendary perfume houses and deep respect for their work we fulfilled their wish and we took down the news. Well now everybody knows it is coming but we have to wait till Company officially release news.
We will try to get some sample or bottle giveaway for the official launch, we will offer them that promotion gratis.
Thank you for clarifying the situation.
When
Lady Gaga Fame saw her fragrance photo leaked somewhere on the Internet shared it on her Twitter and Facebook and made her fragrance one of the most desirable fragrances of this fall. Since most of people are going to make one 'capital investment' and buy one 100+ USD fragrance it is going to be interesting season and many new fragrances are coming. We are sure Chanel will make spectacular launch of new fragrance... do you remember
Chanel Bleu de Chanel launch?
& Honestly, It really has nothing to do with the liquid inside the bottle. (at least not to the majority who will be buying it.)
Lady Gaga purposely leaks her music and merch for this very reason. (& then always plays along.) This is not the first time.
Anything Lady Gaga is valuable, especially limited editions and magazines. I have seen some of the magazines (not autographed) go for well above 100 dollars. & seeing this, for the past year or two I make a point in purchasing multiple copies of her magazines.
She has not hit legendary yet, and is far from being vintage. Not sure if it is high demand right now or what. But I do think there will be huge drop in competitor fragrance sales during a certain period of time. Any mainstream company would be stupid to release any fragrance during the month of August/September.
It would probably even put a slight impact on Chanel, because we all know that the children come first. If I were Chanel, I would hold off for another month or two. Chanel would have bigger sales if they did this release during the holidays.

The eBay "bid" listing for
It is up to $182 dollars for a 1.7oz bottle, still has over 5 days on the "Time Left".
I added it to my watch list, I am curious how much it will sell for when it's final. It is mind blowing how much someone will pay for a fragrance. (& you know people are bidding on it who have children screaming and crying over it) OR people willing to blow that much money on something, I am sure someone (more wealthy) will bid it way up.
Interesting...
When released... I could probably buy two full size bottles of the "Fame" for that amount AND still have some pocket money left over to see a movie and possibly have a bite to eat.

Wow this auction of Lady Gaga EDP has 33 bids!!!
That's one smart move! Now, everyone will want Fame. She sure knows what she's doing!
How does a bid drop? Can a seller reject bids? It now has dropped to 26 bids and is at 122 dollars.
Fishy...
Anyways, I will most likely test Coco Noir. Hopefully it is a good balance between CM and Coco. I love Coco and really liked CM when I first tested it. But like many others after having CM, my skin eats it & I can hardly smell it. CM turns into this very light powdery floral after Just several minutes of application. I still have a full bottle of CM & it will probably sit to rot. I don't want to swap it out because there is that slight possibility it may have turned. (which is very common with todays formulations of Chanel) I hear all the time from several sales associates that when people buy Chanel it is not uncommon for them to bring their purchase back, complaining how it don't smell the same as when they first tested it on their skin in the store.
I am skeptical with Chanel & I don't think I want to spend 100 dollars on their new formulations if they turn so quickly. For now I will just stick to raiding the sample vials, and Just maybe I might fall into some good vintage.
Retracted: US $200.00
Explanation: Entered wrong amount
Bid: Jul-25-12 09:31:22 PDT

Nice to know, if I ever bid on something & change my mind, I can say I entered the wrong amount.
Can't wait to see the final bids though. I hardly ever bid, cos' it usually gets bid on by the seller from another account. Last time I bid, I had a nice glass of wine, was a bit looped up. Had this seller bidding on his own item, way over the retail price. Was like gambling, eventually I had to give up, but made sure he won his own item!
This is what I don't understand why people bid so early on in the auction? I mean yeah, it is nice for the SELLER... but not for those who want to score a steal. Either people are loony or the seller is actually bidding his own listing up.
I will never understand...

I guess I have to wait on the official news release for Coco Noir to put it back on my want list. At least they got a "O wow!" response from the leak, instead of "How dare you?!"
Speaking of bids, some people start bids because they thought no one took interest and thought they can get it at a low price.

I stole it. Now I am holding it for ransom.

Link to eBay listing- here
I am sure the price will get changed on it... I figure the seller thinks by jacking the price up so high, someone will make a bigger offer.
People are off their rockers!
