Topic: Clean, musky and fresh

Hi everyone,

I have for some time now been looking for a signature scent. Recently, I discovered Molecule 01, which smells amazing to me and seems to react well with my skin chemistry. I LOVE this fragrance, but it's just missing something and I'm not quite experienced enough to discern specific notes that I would want to experience with this smell....

I guess my my ideal scent would contain something like Molecule 01 and Bvlgari Pour Homme mixed. Granted, I could "just" mix the two, but I want a little more depth to the scent. Would I right in saying these scents are both clean, musky and fresh?

I have tried Prada Infusion and Amber, Clean Men (REALLY don't like that) and probably tens of other scents in this mould. You can tell by my wardrobe, I tend to go for clean smells - just don't think I have found the signature just yet (although I think I may smelled THE scent once or twice on others - much like Molecule 01 but with a more piercing, bracing edge).

I'm considering having a scent made by a professional, but before I go that route, I thought I would try the vast expertise there seems to be in these forums!!

Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance all.

Yes, I prefer a dirtier musk, but this one is definately clean.

http://fimgs.net/images/perfume/m.6188.jpg Kiehl`s Original Musk +1  I think it CAN smell a bit dirty for about 5 minutes, but the rest is clean and yummy musk.   I wear this with the lotion and the musk lasts a long time.  + its a great perfume to layer with.



The oil sits closer to the skin, and I smell more patchouli in the oil than  in the spray.



Some say its a cleaner Musc Kublai Khan...  of which I don't entirely agree.

I have body shop white musk - its nice, but a little boring.

Not a fan of Cerruti.

Have tried Hermes Voyage - nice, but not what I'm looking for.

I will definitely try to get some Kiehls and some of the others, but not sure how easy they are to come across in the UK?

Anyone have anything that smells more like Molecule 01? Thx!

Thanks everyone. I really like the sound of the Rodriguez-for-Him-Musk, helmut Lang and musc nomade. Along with Kiehls, I'll make these my priority to start with - but thanks for all the great suggestions. I'll report back in due course.  buga
