Dolby, re geranium... If there was any in BC, my husband's allergies would have kicked in a lonnnnnnnng time ago. So I feel fairly certain there is none in the mix, but I can detect some clove and bay laurel.  And nice score, btw!

There have been some extremely good buys for BC on eBay this summer (I always watch & keep track, for myself and other carnation lovers.) There are only two (that I could find) listed now, and both are a bit pricey, but for people who might want to join together in a split, there's a four ounce "Best Offer" listing that might be procured at a decent cost. Just remember, in a split, your word is a binding contract.  wink If anyone here forms such a group, let me know!

I'd really like to see a list of notes.
Geranium and carnation have a very similar olfactive profile, both green and sweet at the same time, although I tend to strangely abhor the former (especially the rose kind in high dose) and adore the latter.
Go figure.

Re a list of notes, I have gone on numerous "Search & Locate" missions, literal & virtual, and can find zerozipnadazilch.  Over the years, I've simply tried deconstructing it with my amateur nose.

Yes, poor guy.  In the early stages of my perfume obsession, he suffered a few times; violent sneezing/sinus meltdowns followed by massive migraines call for careful sampling and selections.  If he'd had an allergic reaction to BC, my nose wouldn't have had a chance to delve any further than first whiff... and someone else would have started this thread.   wink

I like the sweet drydown, but there's too much unadorned clove in the first 20-30 minutes for me to really love it.

I got my rather large sample in the mail and I love it! I didn't expect it to be spicy but spicy is right up my alley. I do love those spicy hot sexy come hither fragrances. I am too content right now to have something this rare. This just might be my very first save it for "special occasions" fragrance. Thanks Mom!

Isn't it just amazing???  I love it and am still at a loss as to why Roger & Gallet discontinued such a glorious perfume.  And I'm extremely puzzled as to why it has not been resurrected in the face of such extreme demand.

Blue Carnation is IMO the best carnation out there. I've bought a few bottles on Ebay and was lucky enough to find a 2 ounce BN bottle at an estate sale for a song! Still counting myself lucky on that one:) Its worth it to seek this one out, but I do wish R&G would bring it back.
