Maxim's de Paris is a notable Parisian restaurant, founded in 1893. Famed for its beautiful Art Nouveau style and its long list of famous clientele spanning more than 100 years, the historic restaurant was bought by designer Pierre Cardin in 1981. Maxim's today is a global operation with restaurants around the world, a line of gourmet foods, and a fleet of tourist boats. The original restaurant's location has been preserved and expanded to include a nightclub and an Art Nouveau museum on the upper floors.
