Patrick and Gerard Pariente founded NafNaf in 1973 in Paris in France. Their aim was to design ready-to-wear collections that would sell at affordable prices. The colorful and unpretentious collections of the 1980s became the brand's trademark.

The fashionable offerings of the NafNaf brand were aimed at young from between 18 and 25. Before online stores became popular the clothes were sold in far more than 100 boutiques in France and in a number of international outlets. The brand became an instant hit with shoppers when their eccentric collections hit the sales floors. Princess Stephanie of Monaco was once spotted wearing a NafNaf blouse!

NafNaf's popularity seemed to fade in the mid-1990s when other chain stores, such as Zara, H&M, Gap, Benetton and the likes, conquered the high streets. With a new business plan, store overhauls and new and more modern designs the company managed to get back to once lost glory.

The company now sells full collections of ladies wear, underwear, sunglasses, bags, accessories and perfumes. The first perfume that was launched under the NafNaf brand name was the oriental-floral Une Touche de NafNaf. When it was presented in 1991 it became an instant hit with girls and young women alike. The iconic fragrance has since been discontinued but remains a favorite amongst those women that were teenagers or twens when Une Touche de NafNaf hit the shelves.

Soon after the success of Une Touche de NafNaf became apparent another fragrance was launched. Graffiti Vanilla, composed of wild strawberry, raspberry, pink grapefruit, blackcurrant, lily-of-the-valley, red peony, violet, cashmere wood, vanilla and musk, is a floral-fruity fragrance with intense gourmand notes. It was commercially successful but did not sell as well as its predecessor.

After the label's rejuvenation Jean-Pierre Bethouart and Annick Menardo were asked to design a new fragrance for NafNaf. Expression, released in 2001, is a fresh, fruity, joyful and sunny fragrance built around bergamot, strawberry leaf, pineapple, freesia, violet, peony, tonka, musk, vanilla and vetiver. The charming fragrant release from 2007, the self-titled NafNaf, was composed by star perfumer Bernard Ellena. He created a fragrance with notes of mango, apple and bergamot, orchid, orris root, rose, patchouli, musk, white woods, raspberry and vanilla.

In 2008 the edition NafNaf Too... was released. NafNaf Too... is a fragrance with intense floral and fruity notes with a focus on the juiciness of mangoes. Fashion Instinct from 2009 is a sweet and fruity fragrance. Fairy Juice, NafNafs edition from 2011, is a floral-fruity fragrance composed of black currant, white peach, mandarin, rhubarb, white flowers , tonka beans, cedar, vanilla and musk.

Designer NafNaf has 10 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 1991 and the newest is from 2015. NafNaf fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Jean-Pierre Bethouart, Annick Menardo, Philippe Romano, Carla Chabert, Bernard Ellena and Ilias Ermenidis.
