At Christmas I was perusing the selection of clearance perfumes at the local drugstore chain and made several blind buys. One of them worked out, two of them didn't. After that, I started sampling some of the more commonly available perfumes, and reading online reviews at Fragrantica.

I want to find my special, favorite fragrance with fewer purchase regrets. In other words, I want to kiss fewer frogs to find a prince.
