BlahBlah3554 Perfume Wardrobe and Profile

I've always been drawn to the world of fragrances from a very young age. I started out as the proud owner of a bottle of Petit Guerlain and Les Belles de Ricci Liberty Fizz, and I loved the way my mom's Deci Delà mingled with the scent of her lipstick when she occasionally wore it. I also kept a collection of fragrance advertisements I had cut out of magazines and would enthusiastically browse the shelves of any shop that would sell perfume (of course, I still do both! :).

In the beginning, I think it was more the look of the bottles and the idea of sophistication and femininity associated with perfuming oneself that attracted me to perfume. But I'm a little more discerning now!

In my teens, I was a fruity-floral, verging on the gourmand type of girl, but now I'm 21, I've grown slightly sick of strong vanillic and gourmand fragrances (too many memories of abusive usage of those among the high-school girls' crowd).

I've expanded my perfume territory to big, white florals, rose florals and floral-orientals. Though I still like some of my "old" perfumes, and fruity-florals that don't smell too tart-like, I prefer to wear them at home for myself.

For what concerns other olfactory families, I keep a very open mind and genuinely like to experiment them just for the sake of experimenting, so don't be afraid to suggest me stuff that doesn't fit in the list below! :P

Fragrances I like: ROSE perfumes (either dark, spicy, or dewy roses), WHITE florals, sunny and yellow florals, tropical florals, and MUSK-centred perfumes. Tuberose, gardenia, lemon blossom, orange blossom, rose, peony, honeysuckle, tiaré, frangipani are among my favourites, along with mimosa, wisteria, ylang-ylang, magnolia, iris, ginger, tangerine, orange, bergamot, honey, musk, sandalwood, and also amber and patchouli. Vanilla and caramel: in very controlled amounts!

Fragrances I'm not so fond of: Squeaky-clean extreme CITRUS compositions (they remind me too much of cleaning products), green, aquatic, soapy fragrances, aldehydes, strong gourmands, very dry spicy scents, and powdery scents which can smell dusty and stale on me. I tend to avoid high doses of rice (which can turn an otherwise interesting perfume into a dusty mess on my skin), and prominents notes of heliotrope, civet, oakmoss, grapefruit, pomegranate, hyacinth, carnation, geranium, almond, liquorice, apple, berries, melon and super sweet-sugary notes. Leather? Most of the times, it's a bit too much for my nose, but I'm trying to find one that will make me go "aaaaah!".

Thanks for passing by! Swap topic coming soon, but don't hesitate to already PM me about swapping you wish! ;)

Under the "like" section are perfumes I have tested and appreciated, but that aren't a priority for buying. Swapping in decants or bottles, for sure!
