Before perfume, my soul was groundless, ever escaping into triumphant or desolate delusions of the future or the painful regrets of past, but never the joy and beauty of the present.

I sought out perfume, the most elusive and subjective of all the arts, in order to understand and embrace the present. Today, being able to discern any given scented environment transports me body and soul into the exact present moment, in all of it's focused and vivid detail.

I admit, I do not have the most talented or discerning nose. But with practice, it continues to improve.
