He was born in 1945 in Verino (Ourense), Spain. His real name is Manuel Roberto Marino and he is a Spanish fashion designer. He was studying Fine Arts and Business in Paris. Because of the family business he withdraws from the fashion scene until 1982, the year when his first women's 'ready to wear' collection – Roberto Verino – was presented. His other creations and awards important to him followed – T for triumph (Spanish magazine Telva) in 1991 and 1994, and Aguja de Oro (Golden Needle), the Spanish press award, in 1992.

In 1992 Verino opens his first boutique in Paris and presents the first fragrance – Verino. Verino is sensual, modern, elegant and wearable throughout the year. It is described as floral-fruity and it opens in fresh and mouthwatering bergamot, mandarin, cappuccino and galbanum. The heart is floral, playful, with pure and sweet notes of jasmine, lily, and ylang-ylang, luscious rose and orange blossom. The base combines the accords of orris root, sandal wood, patchouli, vetiver, musk and vanilla. The fragrance reflects the seductive and intimate side of a woman.

In 1995, he launches his second fragrance Eau de Verino, and in 2000 the first fragrance for men Verino Pour Homme.

Verino's art has always been a unity of simplicity, culture, sophisticated and modern. He is guided by words of Pablo Picasso: ‘Inspiration is very important, but it should find you hard-at-work when it arrives.' He pays special attention to materials which have to be comfortable, of a high quality, but functional and simple. Clothes that he designs are wearable and comfortable, but with distinct details which make his work so original. His collections were presented in Madrid, Paris, Barcelona and London. Verino designs fashion collections, accessories, such as eye glasses and watches, perfumes, and interiors.

Besides, Roberto Verino is a wine producer. His vineyards are located in Monterrei, north-west from the famous castle. The wines have aromas characteristic for Mediterranean and Atlantic and are labeled Terra do Gargalo-Monterrei. White, red and rose wines produced in Roberto Verino's wine-cellars have aromas of violets, strawberries, honey, cinnamon and vanilla. They are simple and sophisticated like everything else Roberto Veriono creates.

For Verino, designing is one of the main driving forces, and therefore he participates in design of the perfume bottles for his perfumes, which are modern, simple, and at the same time romantic. The bottles are of the clear lines like cubes and spheres, which follow his personal expression in the design of interior and clothes. Simplicity with a dose of unusual is his motto. The latest fragrance launched by Verino is the sweetest among his perfumes – Mellow. Mouthwatering and ripe, this fragrance brings a real joy and delight. Christine Nagel and Christiane Plos used all their art to combine the notes of pear, peach, orange and bergamot in a beautiful fruity composition, whose sweetness transforms into the romantic floral heart composed of violets, rose, jasmine and woodsy notes. The drydown is creamy, composed of vanilla, sandal wood, amber and white musk. The bottle was designed by Jose A. Montalvo and Roberto Verino, while the outer box by Lia Villar and Roberto Verino. This romantic pink bottle, full of delicious fragrance Mellow comes in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes.

Beside the mentioned fragrances, there are VV, (2002), VV Man (2004), VV Rose (2005) and VV Aqua Women (2006).
