Agatha Ruiz de la Prada - THE MAGIC OF COLOURS

If somebody could paint the world and create the place more beautiful and blissful than the existing world, then it would be Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, a Spanish designer who designs merry, colourful and modern fashion collections, perfumes, accessories, household appliances, along with the notebooks, pencils, watches, dishes... She simply enjoys playing with shapes and colours.

She was born in Madrid in 1960 and she is very popular among Spanish people and worldwide as well. Independent, creative and idealistic by her nature, she graduated from l'Escola d'Art i Tècniques de la Moda de Barcelona, after which she starts her career as a designer in 1981.
Her designs represent the dose of humour, overemphasized tones, colours and shapes. She just loves the shape of the heart and includes it in many of her designs. Besides the heart, there are motifs of moon, stars, sun...

All of her designs are like merry children's play. She is respected as a fighter for environmental protection because she supports ecological Green Movement and she is well aware that it is only up to us how the future generation's life will look like.

She is well known s a furniture, carpets, lamps, fragrances, towels and sheets designer besides the basic fashion lines for men, women and children.
She signed many designs for Audi, Air Europa, DHL and others. She has shops all around the world, in Milan, in the neighbourhood of Madrid, in many cities across Spain, in Paris, New York... Now, she lives and works in Madrid with the journalist Pedro.J.Ramirez with whom she has two children, son Tristan and daughter Cosima.

I will present the perfumes that evoke her style and her love towards fashion.

Agatha Ruiz de la Prada gives you her heart... CORASON, or the heart, red and filled with love, is represented in flowery-watery rhythm of the notes. It opens with apricot and notes of peony, while the mid-tones seductively adjust to the chords of roses, magnolia and lilac.
Bottom notes of this fragrance full of love introduce the warm notes of sandalwood, juicy peach and sensual trace of light musk. This fragrance is on the market since 2005 and it is available in the bottles of 50 and 100 ml EDT.

The fragrance IMAGINA represents everything that the designer is streaming to - to imaginary, childishly merry dream world. The bottle is unusual, joyful and filled with bouquet of Sicilian bergamot notes, along with magnolia, cyclamen, lotus, rose and jasmine. The fragrance was presented in 1995 in flowery composition.

AGUA DE AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA is a cider-flavoured fragrance made in 2002, also in the fairy-tale bottle, filled with perfume designed by Laurent Bruyere. It opens with the notes of tangerine, bergamot and lime and prolongs with the notes of the heart, which are entered by daffodil, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine and coriander. The base brings light musk, amber, patchouli and cedar.

The latest perfume, presented in 2007 is EL BESO. It is designed for all the romantic souls and wrapped in bottle on which red and pink colours shine in the shape of lips and inevitable heart. All the notes work together, the bright citrus fruits, flowery chords, toffee, powdery and soft vanilla united with wooden accords.

Her new spring - summer 2008 collection was presented a few days ago in Athens, Greece on November 10th, during the Fashion Week.
