Boom! Studios Irredeemable line from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, a brand known for its unusual and interesting inspirations for their perfume oils, launches a new collection in collaboration with the publishing house Boom! Studios in 2010. The first collection is based on the phenomenal comic book series Irredeemable by Mark Waid and Peter Krause. The series deals with the complex transition of superhero Plutonian into a villain.

Besides Plutonian, the main characters of the series are Paradigm team, the former team members of Plutonian, which he now opposes. Mr. Qubit is a brilliant leader of the team with others such as the battery-man Volt and Kaidan, a girl whose mentor was Plutonian and who can summon the spirits of Japanese warriors, with Yurei as the most dangerous one. There's also Bette Noir as a master of weapons and guns, who has the only bullet that can kill the notorious Plutonian.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab  Boom! Studios Irredeemable collection consists of the seven main fragrances: Plutonian, Mr. Qubit, Bette Noir, Volt, Kaidan, Yurei and Alana Patel. The perfumes Sky City (Before) and Sky City (After) are available only at C2E2 (Chicago's Pop Culture Event), while a Tony is an exclusive for the first birthday of the Irredeemable series.



Plutonian perfume is dedicated to the superhero who became the greatest villain, capricious and vindictive. The purity of soapy smell is tainted with blood and ashes.

Mr. Qubit is the eccentric genius and leader of the superhero team. His fragrance smells like ozone, metal and a touch of men's cologne.

Bette Noir is a master of martial arts and weapons; the carrier of the dark secrets of Plutonian's vulnerabilities. The fragrance features notes of wild plums, benzoin, smoked amber, bergamot, orange blossom, myrrh and dark berries.

Volt is a living power battery, who uses humor to cover up his own insecurity and desire for acceptance. The fragrance contains notes of leather, eucalyptus, mint, elemi, lime and revintsare.

Kaidan is the youngest member of the Paradigm group of heroes. Her power lies in the fact that she can summon and revive the spirits of Japanese warriors. The fragrance features notes of pomegranate, plum blossom, white sandalwood, narcissus, amber and incense.

Yurei is the most terrible of warriors that  Kaidan evokes; his sword can penetrate into everything and everyone. The fragrance contains notes of white tea, hibiscus, sandalwood,  vetiver, amber, ho leaf and pale Japanese flowers.

Alana Patel is a journalist and the only true love of Plutonian. By breaking his heart, she has launched a series of events that will make him a vilan. Her scent contains notes of faded perfume, gin and cigarettes.

Sky City (Before) is an urban paradise with notes of fresh air and green parks, gardens, flowers, dandelion, the smell of polished metal and asphalt.


Sky City (After) is a smoldering air of the dead city, smoke, and ashes, burned trees, tar, asphalt , dried blood and creosote.

Tony is an exclusive fragrance with notes of soap, water, hair gel and after shave lotion.
 

 All fragrances of the collection are available as perfume oils in bottles of 5 ml. The bottles are decorated with drawings by Pete Krausea.
