Burberry Body Eau de Toilette

After the original perfume Body and Body Eau de Parfum Intense both from 2011 (and body mist edition, also), Burberry brings out a new, lighter summer version—Body Eau de Toilette—in July 2012.

Body Eau de Toilette is a fresh fruity fragrance that retains the attractive original notes and offers sparkling new flavors such as green apple and tea. It opens with accords of green apple, peach and absinthe. Rose absolute and sandalwood are in the heart, typical of all Body compositions, this time enriched with tea aroma. The base retains its original structure; there are musk, cashmere, amber and vanilla.

Top notes: absinthe, green apple, peach
Heart: rose, sandalwood, tea
Base: cashmere, musk, amber, vanilla

Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the face of Body perfume line. The campaign is shot by Mario Testino.

The fragrance is available in bottles of 35, 60 and 85 ml Eau de Toilette.

I really did like this but right after I had purchased it I had gotten the flu and I had sprayed a card that was somewhere in my room and everytime I had smelled this afterwards it reminded me of that time when I was sick so I had to, sadly, get rid of it. I hope this one is kind of a different smell and I can own it once more because I loved the bottle and the smell

A lot of their fragrances were discontinued when the company changed hands a few years ago. Plus the creative director of Burberry wanted to elevate the image of the Burberry line, which is why they created body, and to compete with Chanel*5 (which was the original intent).

I too do not understand the necessity for an Eau de Toilette version of an Eau de Parfum which is already in itself weak, linear and IMO unappealing and BORING!. I'm sick of these Houses giving us recycled ideas. Give me something that'll make me want to bring out my cash! Please!

I believe it was NOT necessary.

I just don't understand why Burberry discontiued many good fragrances and lauched a lot of Body versions like intense and EDT... one Body perfume is more than enough!

It's launched now, just to be discontinued later.
