Cat – Symbol of the House of Novae Plus Paris

The Cat (Felix catus) belongs to the family of Felidae, and is also known as the domestic or house cat, which has been tame and friendly to humans for the last 9500 years, as familiar so far.

It is gentle, kind, nobles, elegant, fun, and canny and a real hunter, egoistic, wild, free, and mystical – the cat has always attracted with its grace and loveliness.

It was adored by many peoples, starting from the ancient Egyptians, who considered it a divinity. It was the Goddess of home, protector of space, sometimes as aggressive as a lioness. Cats were sublime souls who kept company to humans, guides in many ancient cultures. The cat is the symbol of good luck in Japan, while in the Nordic mythology, the Goddess of love, beauty and fertility, Freya is driven in a carriage towed by cats.

There is a belief that cats have 9 lives, or in some cultures 7. Their agility in life threatening situations is fascinating. Intuition and gumption are the main characteristics of our pets, cats.




It was not by mistake that the house of  Novae Plus Paris decided to take this symbol. Grace, elegance, gentleness and kindness are not characteristics of cats only, but also of women. There is a strong connection of symbol of cat with feminine personality and charming appearance. The woman is in many situations similar to the cat, as noticed by famous French poet Charles Baudelaire. The real combination of elements, gracious figure of the cat with intoxicating feminine and seductive fragrant aromas are a winning combination of the whole collection.

There are three collections of cats by this house. The first among them is Miss Caty Cat, which represents the classic line of two perfumes, Violet and Pink. They are accompanied with editions: Pretty Fairy, Pink Garden, Fresh Blue, Graceful Green, Papillion, and Ballet.

The second collection named Caty Pearl  represents luxurious perfumes Gold Pearl & Pink Pearl and Silver Pearl & Blue Pearl, while the third line includes perfumes Pink Minou & Blue MInou and was named MINOU MINOU.

The perfume Pretty Fairy gives us an interesting story of paining the bottle. The painting stands for the beautiful figure of divine fairy Dunhuang, while Gandhanra, the God of music and the God of scents in Indians, sent aromas through air, floating longer than a thousand years through Mogao Caves.

Her overcoat and long dress are fluttering magically while she is singing, decorated with fragrant flowers. The illustration alone sends a joyful message to the world. Her figure represents passion and wish for truth, perfectionism and beauty.

This perfume is composed of aromas of melon and black currant in the top, with floral breeze of lily of the valley, raspberry, rose and lotus. The base notes introduce cedar, sensual musk and sandalwood. The perfume is available as 50 ml EDP.



It is worth mentioning that the whole collection Miss Caty Cat was created in the same, very charming form of the bottles, with different colours and motifs. Romantic pink, sky blue and grass green nuances contribute to colourful range of the collection. The neck of the bottle, i.e. of the cat, and its tail are decorated with 66 top quality Austrian crystals, which give a luxurious touch to the figures.

The collection of Caty Pearl also has the same shape of the bottles, but these editions are decorated with flowers on the neck of the bottle, in combination with gold. One of four editions of this luxurious collection, Golden Pearl edition, introduces lotus, bergamot, lemon and cranberry, the heart encompasses melon, jasmine, peony and cloves, while the base notes introduce musk and cedar. All four varieties of this collection are available as 50 ml EDP.

And the third collection, MINOU MINOU, combines cat, rose and women in a perfect unit, in a fragrant romance. Beauty of women blooms glamorously, just like rose, with a symbol of gentleness and kindness, cat. It is available as 75 ml and 100 ml EDP.
