After launching two successful fragrances, the Sex and the City celebrity Sarah Jessica Parker has launched a new one this month. After Lovely created in 2005, a fragrance that was supposed to express the light and tender side of her character, and Lovely Liquid Satin in 2006, she is now presenting a more aggressive and desirable Covet, a fragrance that captures the impish and garrulous Sarah.

The SJP's new fragrance was promoted on August 7, 2007 in NYC, Herald Square Macey's, under slogan 'I had to have it!'. The perfume was created by Frank Völkl of Firmenich in collaboration with fragrance designer and consultant Ann Gottlieb. The bottle was designed by Chad Levigne.

Covet opens with intensive spicy-green-mint note of geranium leaves, bright and luminous Sicilian lemon, lavender, and warm and slightly spicy chocolate notes. The heart notes are honeysuckle, magnolia, and lily of the valley. The base is darker, composed of cashmere wood, musk, vetiver, teak wood and amber. It comes in 50ml (at US$52) and 100ml (at US$68) bottles, and with matching body products.

In the TV commercial Sarah features Carrie Bradshaw dressed in a beautiful white evening gown created by Christian Lacroix. Not being able to resist the appeal of the Covet bottle, she breaks the shop window and ends up arrested and behind the bars of a Parisian jail. While entering the police car, charming Sarah-Carrie is asking the French police officer: ‘officer… can I have a little... spritz... please?'

Beside the TV commercial, the promotion of Covet includes an interesting video game. The one who manages to crack the case with the Covet bottle inside will win US$10.000, and other prizes.
