American writer Danielle Steel, or with full name Danielle Fernande Dominique Schuelein-Steel, was born on August 14, 1947 in the New York City, and is one of the best selling writers in the United States. Her books are translated to 28 languages and are selling in 47 countries around the world. So far, Danielle Steel has sold 550 millions copies of her books.

Her newest novels presented this year are Sisters (February 2007), Bungalow Two, and Amazing Grace (October 2007).

Since 1981 Danielle Steel is one of the permanent names on the New York Times' list of the most popular authors. She is also included in the Guinness World Records Book as some of her books were keeping positions in the top bestsellers lists for at least 381 weeks.

Danielle Steel's novels are focused on family, love, children and themes of real life and situations. She published a great number of books among which Zoya, The Gift, The Ghost, The Wedding, Second Chance, H.R.H., and she also writes books for young population, such as 'Max and Martha', and 'Freedie'- a four-book collection about children's lives and situations of importance in their growth.

One of the stories inspired by her own life, published in 1988, is presented in the novel 'His Bright Light', devoted to her late son. Danielle Steel is living on relation Paris-San Francisco.

Besides writing novels, Danielle Steel has entered the world of fragrances by launching her first fragrance in 2006. This fragrance was created in cooperation with the perfumer Loc Dong of IFF, and it attracts attention with its floral-oriental composition which brings wafts of green accords and mandarin in the top notes. Middle notes reveal the gorgeous trio – jasmine, rose and orchid, while the base notes bring in blue vetiver, white amber and sensual cashmere musk.

The fragrance is named Danielle and is aimed to adorn a romantic, feminine, but at the same time strong and intriguing woman. It is captured into a gracious and elegant heavy-glass bottle, inspired by Danielle Steel's fondness of fine crystal. The outer box is made in ballet pink nuances and with black lace accents.

Danielle is available as 50ml and 100ml EDP, 15ml pure perfume, accompanied by 200ml matching body lotion.
