After last year's novelty Pure DKNY, Donna Karan introduces Pure DKNY Verbena edition. As natural and relaxing as the previous one, this fragrance is enriched with refreshing and citrusy aromas. Its composition is bright and refreshing citrus-floral- green. The main ingredients are basil and verbena from Africa (Togo, to be precise).

Pure DKNY Verbena opens wiith notes of verbena and basil, which gradually soften with a floral heart of jasmine, peony and honeysuckle, while the base notes include tender white amber, sea moss and vetiver.

Top notes: verbena, basil
Heart: jasmine, honeysuckle, peony
Base: white amber, sea moss, vetiver

The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml EDP.

I sniffed this at Belk's last month(-or else it was Dillard's?)Anyway-Very nice !Something about basil in a fragrance .I don't think that I conciously pick it out but when it is there I seem to love the fragrance. I think I may have to get a bottle (Eventually!-my list is looooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg. ;)

I first smelled this at Nordstroms, around the end of July. I sniffed it, loved it, bought it.
This is how I wish that I smelled when I was in my late 20's (a LONG time ago). It's beautiful, natural, effortless skin scent.
The citrus is not so much sweet as it is a healthy musky citrus. Like you rubbed lime rind on your sun-warmed skin.
I took this on a beach vacation on the coast of Maine, and it was in perfect harmony with the sun and the ocean and the pines and the fragrant firs.
Clearly, this scent brings up happy, contented images for me, I hope it does for you, too.
