Dubrovnik in Bottle
This is the first fragrance named after the Croatian coastal city-brand and the first Croatian fragrance produced in Croatia. The company of Viškovo has attained the special official permission of the city authorities to use the name of
Dubrovnik and pictures of the old town walls. The bottle shape follows the lines of the Dubrovnik Fortress. It comes in golden-colored outer box, the color that honors the splendor and beauty of the city that has inspired creation of this perfume.
The top notes that will remind you of beauties of this stone-walled old town are the scents of mandarin, bergamot and orange. The heart reveals a light blend of rose, lily of the valley and jasmine, spiced with Chinese cinnamon and pink pepper, while the base notes are amber, vanilla, patchouli and sandalwood.
The perfume comes in 70ml bottles at 330HRK (US$60, €45), and 5HRK of each sold bottle goes to renovation of Dubrovnik. It is planned to introduce smaller, 40ml bottles with this perfume in the near future. The perfume is available at perfumeries and department stores. In addition, for the fall 2007 Macal-Palma Co. is preparing a launch of fragrance for men.
