Eau d`Italie Baume du Doge

Italy is an attractive destination, but each country, even if it were so well explored by tourists, hides its secrets reserved only for those who want to know more. The road chosen by selective brand Eau d'Italie is very charming and utterly special: genuine Italy in fragrances from different regions and even centuries. With their new, sixth fragrance of the collection Baume du Doge, launched this autumn, we start our journey to famous and formerly very influential north, Venice. Eau d'Italie suggests also traveling in time, since this perfume is dedicated to Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia (Most Serene Republic of Venice), time of reign of elected rulers which were named Doge in the language of Venice, deriving from Latin word 'dux' (military leader). The leader chosen by influential aristocracy reigned till his death. This unique reigning regime lasted over 1000 years; from the 7th till the 18th ct.

Baume du Doge or Balm of the Doge is an opulent, spicy, oriental mixture of precious gifts from India, Africa and Asia, brought by merchants to Venice. Rare hot spices, resins and incenses will most certainly recuperate your body and soul. Legends on them do not even have to be brought from the sea – they are born as soon as your breathe in their amazing, very exotic aroma.
 

Baume du Doge enchants with its scorching exotic from the very first notes: juicy, sweet orange is followed by cinnamon, which colours the composition in golden-brown nuances. Orange thrills us with its perfect harmony with sweet and hot cinnamon aroma, but leaves unnoticeably, while spicy choir becomes sharper and tingles your nose. Noble sorts of incense unwrap their notes of resins and smoke, while saffron suddenly introduces gourmand and even medicine-like notes. The composition becomes woody, hot spices slacken and we can get comfortable in company of vanilla, peaceful cedar and warm resins.

 
When precious raw materials are in game, it is impossible to tell who chooses whom: they us or we them, since their behavior is highly changeable on the skin and it depends on our recognition of their high status. We tried Baume du Doge in our team and it developed differently on each of us. It is an excellent choice for cold autumn and for all fans of exotic.
