Elements Showcase: Dita Von Teese Erotique

One of the lines I was most excited to try at Elements Showcase was the Dita Von Teese range, which enjoys great popularity in Europe but had not debuted in the United States.  (Or so I thought. Peter Schemberger of Luxess Group, the license-holder for the brand, informed me that the fragrances are currently available at Fred Segal—oh! you lucky Los Angelenos!—as well as select online retailers.)

The Dita Von Teese booth at Elements presented these fragrances with style and grace, in keeping with the Dita Von Teese image. The scents were displayed on mirrored pedestals, with Dita's lovely visage as a background. Black satin fans impregnated with the signature Dita Von Teese scent gently diffused the perfume throughout the display.

The signature fragrance, along with Rouge and FleurTeese, exude the elegant style of a bygone era, not unlike Ms. Von Teese herself. The fragrances and the woman behind them strike that delicate and unique balance that appeals simultaneously to the modern woman (and man!) as well as the nostalgic aesthete who bemoans the loss of glamour in 21st-century fashions and mannerisms.

I found all three fragrances to be exquisite and high-quality, with great longevity and sillage. These are definitely serious and mature fragrances designed to appeal to fragrance aficionados as well as Dita's unique fan base. However, I'm most excited about the newest edition of the collection, Erotique.

With resplendent packaging in warm golden tones, and adorned with a heart-shaped lock and key, Erotique teases with "animalic leather, burnt woods and carnal rose," (according to Dita's comments on Facebook). The scent is unapologetic in its sexiness, offering another facet of Dita's personality in the form of a fragrance.

Look for the new Dita Von Teese Erotique fragrance this fall. In the meantime, visit the official Dita Von Teese website for the latest news about Dita's perfumes and performances.

@krmarich, I think you'll like these. They have a definite classic vibe. Totally agree with DevonH that they're excellent blind buys. :-)

People in the US, do you not watch Home Shopping Network at all?? Dita's fragrance line and lingerie line are available there - Fred Segal or Ron Robinson is not the only option here. Also, you can purchase samples of all 3 scents from Surrender to Chance's online decant as sample web store. All 3 perfumes are excellent blind buys.

Are any of her perfumes sold in the United States? If so, where? I don't see any in San Antonio, Texas. Curious to try one or two of them, but no clue what to do.

I was quite surprised by Erotique - very leathery and sensuous. This is doubtless going to be coveted by some men because it has that unisex vibe to it, most definitely. It's got a 'niche' feel. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of these perfumes. Each of them is extremely well-balanced and slightly seductive. Three cheers for celebrity done well!

Sounds interesting. I'll definitely be checking this out, really looking forward to it!
I'm fond of her fragrances in general,
my excitement was just dimished when I found FleurTeese to be somewhat foral/clean/boring, but then lilacs are just not my thing in floral mixes.
Hopefully I'll like this one again, and be able find it soon at dm. :)

Thanks to Peter Schemberger from Ditas to generous gift of Deta Tees bottle, it is great and feminine. However Dita Erotique is something to dye for, sandal wood, very arabian, unisex, I want it when it comes out.

Love the Erotique bottle the best but I detest leather. Hope you can barely smell it :/.Hope they get better distribution in the U.S as I'd like to test them all

I haven't smelled any of her perfumes, but they sound really good from the note listings. The new one, Erotique, sounds like my cup of tea. I'm really curious to try her perfumes as the reviews for them sound positive. Looking forward to adding this new one to my "test" list. :)
