Esxence 2011 Scented Premieres!

Our passion for perfumes is enriched by acquaintance with the exclusivities that have premiered at Milan's perfume exhibition Esxence. After the initial look around the excellently organized and undeniably fragrant fair in Milan, we're going to draw your attention to brands that presented completely new editions, some of which are jubilee.

Rance 1795...

House Rance 1795 traditionally revamps the glory of Napoleon. Their new fragrance, Le Roi Empereur, evokes the greatness of the king and the emperor, in the peak of his supremacy. Le Roi Empereur offers a fresh view by the composition that balances between aromatic lavender and sparkling orange blossom accompanied with green notes. Official notes indicate the fresh and aromatic beginning (lavender, orange blossom, anise) followed by a floral powdery heart (iris, roses, violets and cardamom), on a refined base (leather, amber, cinnamon, cedar, musk).

Fragrance Rance Le Roi Empereur is available as 50 and 100ml EDP, in special luxury cases accompanied by perfumed body care products. In addition to eau de perfume, the collection includes the 100 ml aftershave, 200 ml shower gel, and fine perfumed soap in packages of 3 x 100 grams.

Rance also presents two completely new fragrances, which are joining the Rui Rance Collection Privee collection, Eau Superbe and Eau de Noblesse, while discontinuing the production or Royale and Empire.

Floris London...

London house Floris offers a floral bouquet inspired by a wedding. This house offers typically English floral compositions that spread out the classic retro feel. The latest issue Wedding Bouquet, is a special edition available as eau de perfume, characterized by elegance and class. The composition is inspired by the royal marriage of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton, and created as a classic floral with a barely noticeable modern twist.

The notes from this edition offer a brilliant saga of dazzling citruses—bergamot and lemon, on the petals of lily of the valley, embraced by refined marine notes. The heart of the fragrance highlights stephanotis, which is a leading theme of the edition, accompanied by jasmine and orange blossom, on a base of musk and sandalwood. The latest edition is available as 100 ml EDP.

Italian label Cale offers particular scents joined by single experience, two perfumes and three authors: Silvio Levi, Mark Buxton and Maurizio Cerizza. The duo of new fragrances is inspired by the desert and interpreted in a very particular way. Silvio Levi says "The clouds started to accumulate on the clear sky; there was a hint of heavy rains and electricity in the air.

Then goes down the thunder, the lightning shot through, and everything has become too big and powerful. A great and unstoppable force broke the seemingly eternal peace, and in just a couple of moments the desert was flooded by rain".

His feelings are incarnated by two brilliant perfumers in two different ways, through two compositions. One of the compositions is fresh, bright and transparent, while the other is darker, warmer, more earthy, more hazy and mysterious. The fragrances are named Fulgor and Roboris. The two new fragrances indeed carry two powerful names, and they are very different. Fulgor depicts the desert just before the storm, with the emphasis on lightning, light and the cloud game.

The other, Roboris, is inspired by earth soaked in water, life force, and birds in flight. Roboris is a latin name for Power. You’ll soon hear more about these fragrances in a special review! A series of fragrances as eau de toilette and Les Concentres variants were also presented on the Cale’s stand.

Cale Les Concentres is a new line that enhances the brand’s familiar scents and presents them in stronger concentration (for people who enjoy loud communication). After testing both lines, one can really feel the difference in the volume and density of the compositions, which gives fans a chance to choose the scent that will better caress their skin. Les Concentres fragrances (Ozio, Allegro con Brio, Brezza di seta and Assolo) are available in stronger concentrations than eau de perfume.

Profumi del Forte presented their new edition 150 Parfum, which honors the Unification of Italy and its 150-year jubilee. The new fragrance combines tradition, history, passion and great ideals. The fragrance is available in a white traditionally shaped bottle (typical for the Profumi di Forte brand) with an Italian flag ornament on the front of the bottle.

Il Profvmo comes out with three new releases created by the charming perfumer Silvana Casoli. She offers a beautiful fragrant treat to all the chocolate lovers—Chocolat Bambola—a voluminous romance of exotic fruits and delicate flowers. The composition is built upon thick notes of mango and papaya, with a rich and challenging chocolate heart, which spreads on the seductive floral trail of almond flowers, peach blossom, cherry blossoms, and cotton flowers—Australian mimosa.

The second edition was presented to me on a pink puff, with an innocent smell, sweet and challenging at the same time. The Ose is an underwear fragrance with a very inspiring scent (chaste and seductive at the same time). It is composed from the notes of white freesia, Mexican tuberose, romantic lily of the valley, and white peach.

The third fragrance launched at Esxence is the Profvmo d'Italia, a fragrance dedicated to Italia, with a flag ornament on the transparent glass falcon. The fragrance is characterized by energetic and typically fresh composition. It is available as 15 and 50 ml.

The house of Memo presented their whole collection along with the new scent—Memo Shams (Shams is Arabic for Sun). The bottle itself is adorned with golden sunburst decoration that seems to radiate with energy and joie de vivre. The composition of the new fragrance is woven from the notes of pepper, ginger, saffron, vetiver, Russian pepper, tonka bean, birch essence, styrax absolute, tolu balsam absolute, labdanum and oud! The fragrance is available as eau de perfume in a black outer package decorated with golden sun illustrations.

A lady of style, Vero Kern, pointed out the new luxury outer packaging for three of her popular scents and announced a new edition of which we will inform you promptly. Her stand exhibited luxurious bottles with pure perfume concentrations and eau de perfume variants—Rubj, Kiki and Onda!

Just like the icing on the cake, the white bottles on the Nez a Nez stand attracted our attention. And not just the bottles, but also a very romantic and eye-catching media campaign accompanying their new release. The latest fragrance presented on the Esxence exhibition is inspired by Marylin Monroe, the legend of the twentieth century.

The fragrance Immortelle Marylin offers a layered balance of raspberry and hazelnut, exotic ylang accompanied by powdery iris, on the foundation of leather, musk, nutmeg and ambroxan. The fragrance is available in a white bottle with eye decoration on the middle and a dark cap. The advertasing campaign is totally romantic—a bottle is surrounded by flowers, butterflies, bright and cheerful colors, and nice feelings.

Thank you naheed, there are more and more stories we shall publish about this year Esxence and Milan. It was very inspiring event, so, in a next few weeks we shall do our best to cover everything interesting about fragrances we tried and saw over there.

Reading about fragrances, houses and new releases is like a never ending journey. This is absolutely the best report and I just felt myself at the event with those beautiful pictures and the vivid description. Will be watching out for special articles on some new fragrances.
