Ehh! Paris Hilton, Celebrity of the year!! please....

I haven't been at this long but I know better than to have much more than a grain-of-salt opinion of FIFI. One of my first (recent) experiences with fragrances was McGraw, and (yawn) it's neither of the awards it "earned."

To my biggest suprise that Harajuku Lovers won this year's Fifi Award! I just can't believe it! There are so many high class fragrances out there and these cute little girls just didn't up to the class...I am very disappointed. In the year of 2008-09, there were so many nice fragrances in store. No way,no way,no way that Harajuku Lovers won! Were the judges infacted by H1N1,and their noses just couldn't smell?

how did Harajuku win?!! The packaging was great but
the fragrance smells kind of cheap....That is wired.

how did harajuku lovers line win? very weak fragrances. they all smell like sugar water. and tim mcgraw won 2 things? yay for celeb endorsment i guess.

i subscribe to the previous comments too.a real shameless mess.i can t believe that the fragrances above can be everyone s favourites!!! there were other reasons in order for these to be voted, related to business i suppose.what s got to do the section ''celebrity of the year'' with perfumes???
05/29/09 05:15:54
it should be "fast perfume awards" :)(like fast food). We have here paris hilton and all those E! celebrities...
05/29/09 01:36:53
I agree with "pitbull friend" and have to wonder if these awards have sold themselves out to the big wheeler-dealers. I know there were two Jo Malone scents up for the FiFi, and I am sad to read that neither won the award. Sorry but most of these "award winning" fragrances are smelly messes; though I do enjoy Victoria's Secret Sexy Little Things Noir.

I didn't know FiFi awards existed till a few years ago. I don't know how they voted for the perfumes/colognes. I think some of the scents are likeable and pleasant, but the best.......I don't agree. I happen to like a few of Harajuku Lovers, but as far as the awards go, I didn't find anything spectacular about the fragarnces deemed winners. Perhaps, the perfume/cologne winners were based on a variety of factors.

Agree with pitbull friend and memechose whole heartedly. Probably chosen by wealthy business people who gain from the media attention (if there is any). Most of the perfumes chosen arn't any I, or, judging by reviews on some of said perfumes, anyone else would purchase.

Wow, what strange awards. I can't imagine these being anybody's "bests," although some of them are certainly likeable. Why was there voting for "best celebrity?" I have to wonder who was voting in these.
05/28/09 09:48:12
INMHO a self congratulatory ceremony for the big 5 companies... doesn't have the integrity the european awards. so dissapointed with the winners.
