Most of times I cannot believe what makes some fragrances be selected as finalists at Fifi Awards. The same happens with the Oscar. Honestly? There are some good fragrances but not outstanding to compete to a type of "Perfumery Awards", so important to recognise the work of millions of good professionals involved in improving this perfume industry.

To say that it happens because there are not better options is not the right thing to say and believe in. Okay, fine fragrance prestige market is in search of the Holy Graal fragrance that is mainstream and brings $$$$$$$$$$$$$ profit, but there are others better fragrances in my humble opinion.

Probably, Chanel n. 5 Eau Premiere (fresher version by Polge), Sensous Estée Lauder (as always Estée Lauder keep her heritage and popularity in US), Dior Homme Sport (the traditional is better), Les Exclusifs de Chanel (always, Chanel is Chanel) and the Champaca Absolute(very floral fragrance coming from Tom Ford Beauty, taking the exotic Champaca note) are good options to put some weight on this awards. In my opinion, they should be considered as strong competitors to win... but my Oscar would go to different fragrances... and they are not there.

Fragrant Greetings,

Cris
