Forever Lily was introduced in 2009 by GoodTrueBeautiful, and I can say that it is one of the most remarkable releases of the year.
Beth Nonte Russell is the founder of GoodTrueBeautiful and the author of the book with the same name. The fragrance and the book were created to share her beautiful experience of being a mother. When Beth accompanied her friend on a trip to China, she didn't know she would return with a daughter.

The Perfume
Lily, who inspired the fragrance, is my daughter's name. It has always been my favorite flower. The power of the lily scent and the symoblic meaning of the lily flower made it the perfect starting point for a fragrance that is meant to deeply affect the wearer."
Beth Nonte Russel

The Perfumer
"I saw Sarah Horowitz's line, What Comes From Within, in a catalog and felt the creator of these scents would understand what I was trying to achieve with foreverlily. We spoke on the phone and immediately clicked... she perfectly understood what I wanted to create and why.
We had one creative meeting and then Sarah presented her first blend selection... and the fragrance that became foreverlily was in that very first set. She absolutley captured my olfactory vision. She was a joy and inspiration to work with."

The Design
"I first saw the bottle and cap design in a dream and got up in the middle of the night to sketch the design. Years later our designer captured the essence of that in the design as it currently exists.
The very special box was meant to symoblize the unique nature of the fragrance and the inspiration behind it. It was meant to be kept and not thrown away like traditional packaging. Each box is a work of art and requires 6 hours to hand wrap and construct. It is the perfect way to display and enjoy the scent of foreverlily!"

The burning-bright oriental composition of ForeverLily is built around the stargazer lily flower. Green notes of fig leaves and fresh juicy nuances of lemon and lychee make it fresh and complex. Its spicy side is enhanced by glove in the top, and amber and sandalwood in the base.

Yes, this parfum is lemming worthy. I tucked the sample strip into the neck of a t-shirt, and I keep lifting it to my nose to catch a whiff. It's a robust floral that doesn't get carried away by being full of itself. Rather, the fig keeps it grounded. Big, beautiful, wearable.
The bottle and the scent are unique, I think I would buy it only for them ;o)
But the scent itself is absolutely gorgeous. I don't recommend it for very young audience, but for those who enjoy intense beautiful oriental floral fragrances with strong personality, Foreverlily is the right thing.
I got a free sample from their website and it is gorgeous! I love it! It is at the top of my wish list!
This sounds simply lovely. I have been looking for something pretty and wearable. I say this without shame as I have had my fill of oddball, complicated and weird scents. I am a teacher who has seen her share of scrunched student faces due to my olfactory assault on their young senses. I am in the mood for ooohs not ewwws. I predict a full bottle is in my future, can’t wait for my sample.
Everything about this scent sounds wonderful - from the fragrance itself to the unique bottle and the inspiring story behind it! I've always loved stargazer lilies, and I think that relating their scent to an emotional journey is a beautiful concept. I ordered a sample and can't wait to try it!!
Thanks for the wonderful article, Elena!
