Serendipity 3 is a restaurant in Manhattan's Upper East Side, NYC, known for its foot-long Hot Dogs and chocolate specialties such as frozen chocolate drinks the most famous of which is Frrrozen Hot Chocolate. Beside these specialties the restaurant offers a great variety of hot meals and sweet deserts. In short, as it was commented by Saveur – Bad Moods Melt Quickly Here.

Serendipity 3 was opened in 1954 in the heart of Little Italy. It was named Serendipity, the word that was coined by Sir Horace Walpole upon the ancient legend about the 'Three Princess of Serendip' (Sri Lanka), as it was the name that was supposed to turn the owners' fortune for better. It was the first 'coffee house boutique' in New York City. Two times in its history Serendipity 3 appeared as a film scene place, first time in the film One Fine Day (1996) and the second time in Trust the Man (2006). The restaurant is very popular among tourists, but among celebrities as well.
Serendipity 3 was included into the Guinness Book of World Records for its world's most expensive desert, Golden Opulence Sundae, made of, among other ingredients, Venezuelan Chuao chocolate, topped with 23-carat gold leaf, drizzled with Amedei Porcelana and adorned with La Madline au Triffle. Due to its price of US$25.000, in addition to the fact that it was served in a gold end diamonds adorned bowl, it gained a high position in the Guinness Book.
The restaurant is also well known for its fairy-tale like atmosphere and the items that can be found and purchased there such as Tiffany lamps, Victorian oversized posters, interesting cups, chef’s aprons. Some of the serendipity 3 items can be purchased even at Amazon.com. And, what is interesting to us, there you can find the first fragrance of the restaurant.
The fragrance is named Serendipitous and is made of fragrant notes of ingredients used in the most popular chocolate desert of the house. It comes in an elegant glass bottle which captures the sweet secrets of the queen of sweets – chocolate!
The irresistible notes of this fragrance will make you smell it again and again. The trace is created of cocoa mix, Tahitian vanilla, and blood orange. The perfection of notes brings a comfortable and wearable fragrant chocolate desert perfect for the winter season. It is available as 50ml (1.7 oz) EDP at the price of US$38. It is accompanied with matching bath product Chocolate Bubble Bath, and fragrant candle.
