Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia Essenza

Last year’s edition Acqua di Gioia is expected to get a successor in September 2011. The new fragrance, called Acqua di Gioia Essenza, is announced as sophisticated and more intense than the classic version.

Let us recall. The smell of Acqua di Gioia is presented in 2010 as fresh and floral, inspired by sea aromas, the freshness of nature and favorite resorts of Giorgio Armani—the islands of Pantelleria and Antiqua.

The concept of the first edition is based on revamped popular fragrance Acqua di Gio, from 2005, moving to the younger audience with a creation that offers bright, clean and sparkling flavors to reinterpret the drop of water.

The notes of this edition are fresh and glittery from the very start—lemon and crushed mint leaves offer cold and pure tones, adding flowers of water jasmine and dewy peony, seasoned with pink pepper. The base is mild and calm, combined from cedar, brown sugar and labandum—see the announcement for Acqua di Gioia on Fragrantica.

The new edition is named Acqua di Gioia Essenza. It's a more intensive version of the original.

The heart is deepened by intense floral notes combined from water jasmine and jasmine absolute, while the base lies on cedar, brown sugar and cashmere, according to pluises.

The fragrance Acqua di Gioia Essenza comes in the same bottle as the forerunner Acqua di Gioia, adorned with silverish reflections on the glass. The color of the liquid is emerald blue, highlighting the essence of the edition and naturally pure tones. The fragrance will be available as 50 ml and 100 ml EDP, from September 2011.
