The prestigious Italian fashion house of Gucci launches a new collection of fragrances under the creative director of Frida Giannini. It comes out in May 2012 and is named Flora by Gucci Garden Collection. The collection includes the five most important blossoms outlined on the legendary Gucci scarf designed by Vittorio Accornero for Princess Grace of Monaco.
The Flora Garden takes five blooms from this historic print and creates a bouquet of
discerning eau de toilettes in their honour. These five new editions are: Glorious Mandarin, Gracious Tuberose, Gorgeous Gardenia, Glamorous Magnolia and Generous Violet.
top notes: red berries accord, fresh pear
heart notes: white gardenia, frangipani flower
base notes: patchouli, brown sugar accord
"A sparkling prelude of succulent red berries and juicy pear gives way to an opulent floral heart. The plushness of gardenia petals is enhanced by the creamy warmth of frangipani flower, underlaid by the delectable aroma of patchouli and brown sugar."

top notes: violet leaves, juicy peach
heart notes: tuberose, orange flower, rose
base notes: cistus (labdanum), white cedarwood
"A distinctively elegant tuberose in which a verdant overture of violet leaves and peach softens into the plant’s silken blossom. A base of white cedarwood and cistus enhances the impression of refined charm".
top notes: mandarin, peony
middle notes: jasmine, pina colada accord
heart notes: ambergris, white musk, creamy wood
"This magnificent scent blends joyful mandarin with the tropical rum and pineapple of the pina colada. In place of the traditional coconut, the cocktail is completed with creamy wood notes that are at once contemporary and sumptuously feminine".

top notes: violet leaves accord
heart notes: orris, violet petals
base notes: soft suede accord
"Two of perfumery’s most distinguished oils – violet and orris - combine to exquisite effect. Their heady yet decorous luxuriousness is complemented by the rich, textural quality of Gucci’s suede accord, evoking the hidden feminine secrets of a woman’s handbag."

top notes:
freesia, green leaves, citrus zest
heart notes:
peony, magnolia
base notes:
musk, sandalwood, warm chocolate
A brilliant opening of buoyant freesia, zest and green leaves yields to a tactile fusion of peony and magnolia. Sandalwood, musk and warm chocolate lend sensuousness to a base that proves as lingering as it is addictive.
In the process of making these fragrances, it was very important to distinguish them from one another. The idea is that each fragrance should reflect a facet of the same woman.
The original Flora by Gucci was launched in 2009, aiming at a younger population compared to the previous Gucci by Gucci perfume. A year after, the intensive version Flora by Gucci Eau de Parfum entered the market, followed by the airy and optimistic Flora by Gucci Eau Fraiche.

The face of the advertising campaign is Abbey Lee Kershaw, shot by Solve Sundsbø. The fragrances are available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette, except mandarin and violet one that will be available exclusively at Gucci flag stores as 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Awwe yay! I really liked the smell of Flora, && now to to a whole flanker line, they all sound like they will smell beautiful they all sound promising && the colors help make them look as delicate as the flowers they portray. Really great marketing is Gucci's forte they always produce such classy ads. All in all I'm sure the Garden Line will pass with flying colors, && just in time for the spring & summer months to. now Gucci's in the game. :)
these sound really beautiful, i especially want to try the violet one :)
I cant wait to try out the Gardenia and Mandarin! These sound like they will smell beautiful and fresh just in time for spring. The middle notes of pina colada will get me in the mood for the beach!
I'll see that I get to test all these beauties out. I think they'd make good birthday presents for my Mom.
This appears similar to the D&G line of scents! and guerlain line too! great idea from Gucci will love to sniff these out !
So they, or at least the 2 I'm most interested in, are only available in Gucci flagship stores. There are only 2 in the whole country and both are in West London. That makes what are bound to be expensive (that's what "exclusive" usually means, right?) perfumes even more expensive. Prohibitively so unfortunately.
Such a shame because these sound so lovely.
Oh Gucci ! I will change my fav. houses soon !
I am so excited to try them all specially the (violet & madarin)o_O
Seems super classy & Romantic.
I agree!!! the mandarin is the one that i want!
Wow!
I reaaaally want to try them on my skin!!
I am a huge Gucci Flora Fraîche fan.
You never know, it could change....it seems like ones that are "exclusive" sooner or later find their way into your local department stores etc. They probably want to wait and see what's popular before they make them more readily available. I love a magnolia scent, but I want to try them all!!!
Love Gucci Flora...very floral without being cloying. Wish they would make the garden as a set...hmmmm.
Wonderful and classy ad, as always from Gucci House.
Gorgeous Gardenia is going straight to my test list.. I think gardenia is becoming one of my favorite floral notes and, based on the fragrance's pyramid, it will combine with red berries and sugar.. yummy! But I hope they will launch at least 50 ml bottles, 100 ml is just too much for me. Too bad mandarin and violet will be available only at Gucci stores.
These do look beautiful and I echo APassionateJourney's comments, except it was the violet I was hoping to try. Darn!
I was wondering why these had disappeared from the site after they had been added on here. These seem very interesting!
and GRRRRRRR @ the Mandarin one only being available at Gucci stores!!!!!!!!!! That's the one I wanted to try the most.
