24 Faubourg is one of the most significant perfumes of the house of Hermes and its name represents address of their boutique in Paris. The fragrance was created in 1995 as a magnificent blend of sweet citruses, intoxicating, thick and creamy flowers on a warm, sensual base of wood and amber. Its nuances signal clearly that the perfume belongs to the chypre category. I really like its development, quality and uniqueness, together with its unforgettable flacon which is a true masterpiece--the glass sculpture represents Hermes' scarves known worldwide.

The shiny, powerfl glass flacon truly suggests the tradition, style and significance of the house of Hermes. Waves on its glass surface represent a game of notes of, I can say it freely, one of highest quality compositions I like to single out as my favorites.

"A floral, amber fragrance; a sun-drenched voyage to Mediterranean countries. Pure, glowing and sensual, 24, Faubourg is a fragrance of light." - Hermes

I like 24 Faubourg for so many reasons: for its unprecedented quality, complexity, chypre refined notes, and for being my mother`s favorite perfume. This is one of the rare compositions I don`t have to apply and explore constantly to remember all the fine transitions and sunny aromas--I know it and feel it.

Bergamot and mandarin open the composition and announce in the very beginning the thick, floral and exotic nuances of ylang-ylang and peach which follow, and which leave an impression of a precious chypre composition which does not rule over the sweetness of the aromas, but contributes to a "noble effect." Orange blossom, along with gardenia, jasmine and iris, are creamy and powdery, gently sweet, sophisticated and opulent, warming your skin like sunset. The base includes a strong impact of patchouli characteristic throughout the whole development and combined with warm and sweet moments provided by milky sandalwood, amber and vanilla.

During all these years, the perfume received various hand-painted flacons, as well as a lighter version Eau Delicate, which shares the same main theme--orange blossom, surrounded with dancing aromas of jasmine, geranium, raspberry leaves, bay leaf, sandalwood and musk.

The queen of Hermes was created by two perfumers: Maurice Roucel and Bernard Bourjios, while the creator of the flacon was famous Serge Mansau.

The new, limited edition Hermes 24 Fauborg Jeu de Linges et de Lumiere arrived on the market in 2009. Its flacon is carved and decorated with curves in a completely new way, leaving an impression of the characteristic strong, elegant and classy Hermes contours. The new flacon contains the unchanged composition from 1995, with the main theme of white flowers bathing in sun rays. The inspiration for the new flacon is Hermes' collection Onde de Chic. The new edition is available as a 100 ml EDT in limited number.

Liked it at first but soon got bored with it. It did'nt seem to have its own character but ended up smelling run of the mill, afraid to say it ended up as a 'posh' air freshener

I love to wear this fragrance! It's like wearing a Hermès scarf. The bottle is like a "carré" so I think it is great to play with that. This is Class!
