Hilde Soliani: Ti Amo!

This time we have a pleasure to introduce you to a new interesting fragrance line, created with love and devoted to love: collection Ti Amo (I Love You) by Italian artist Hilde Soliani of Parma.
The extraordinary atmosphere of legendary Parma has for sure had to do with Hilde leaving her career of marketologist and devoted herself to painting, design of candles and jewellery... Fragrances are one more of her passions and domain in which she wants to express her talent. Recently she has launched her first collection Ti Amo which includes five fragrances, a fragrance for every letter:
Tulipano Iris Anemone Margherita Ortensia

According to her words, she wanted not only to compose a sentence by the names of flowers, but the choice of flowers was not random. Each of them carries special emotion or a dear memory. Tulipano reminds of her father's voice and his warmth. Iris is a symbol of Italian elegance. Anemone is the scent of Parman theatre. Romantic Margherita is the scent of childhood. Ortensia is the kiss of her beloved grandmother.
Hilde Soliani's fragrances do not emulate natural scents of the selected flowers. Hilde's avant-garde style has reflected on her approach to perfume creation. For her, realistic copying of nature simply has no sense, it is much more interesting to paint her emotions on a (either realistic or imaginary) canvas.
Out of five fragrances only two, Iris and Ortensia, contain natural oils of iris and hortensia flowers, because, as the artist has emphasized, her goal is not to create realistic fragrances.
The first fragrance of the collection, Tulipano, is suitable for both woman and men, as well as Anemone. The other three are aimed at the fair sex.
Tulipano is created on contrasts. It starts with refreshing fruity wafts of bergamot, black currant, lime, peach, kiwi and passionfruit. The heart reveals white flowers bouquet: freesia, lily of the valley, and jasmine. The final notes include woods, oakmoss and musk.
Elegant Iris features green, floral and woodsy notes. Green opening leads to floral heart composed of iris, jasmine and mimosa. The moderate base combines woody and musky notes.
Anemone is a flirty scent of spring which includes floral, aromatic and musk notes. In the top flowers (tulip and orange blossom) are combined with aromatic ivy and galbanum. The heart brings spring bouquet of lily of the valley, jasmine and cyclamen, while the base includes musk, sandalwood and vetiver.
Carefree and light Margherita originates from childhood. Green, floral and woodsy notes are united in a gorgeously balanced composition. Light and joyful emotions of Margherite convey the whole palette: the green ivy notes introduce air, mellowness and freshness into exuberant floral bouquet (orange blossom, bell flower, tuberose, lily of the valley, rose and honeysuckle). The base is warm and intense and includes sandal, vetiver, white musk and ambergris.
Ortensia is fragrance for temperamental women who simply can not and do not want to hide their emotions: floral, woodsy and musky fragrance. The green notes of the top blend with sweet floral accords of ylang-ylang, jasmine, orange blossom, lily of the valley and rose. The base reveals white musk, Cashmere wood, and cedar.
All fragrances come in 50ml (1.7 fl.oz.) as 14% essence (eau de parfum). The bottles and outer boxes are designed by Hilde herself.

The success of the first collection has encouraged Hilde to continue her fragrant creation. She is preparing the second collection devoted to theatre. It will be launched in June 2008 upon the opening of the international theater festival in Napoli. This fragrance collection also includes five fragrances most of which 'very gourmand'.
Sipario (Curtains) is piña colada cocktail that Hilde likes very much.
Atto Primo (The First Act) is the scent of tobacco and coffee. This fragrance will be sprayed during the Reggia di Caserta show.
Loggione is fruit salad.
Camerino (Coulisse, dressing room) introduces a very aromatic composition.
And Magiami is a sort of melon...
In September Hilde Soliani plans to introduce a limited edition also inspired by theatre. These fragrances, made by Hilde herself based on four essential oils, will bring associations to classic old, retro-style theatre, with hand-made bottles of Venetian glass.
