Jasper Conran introduced two fragrances as a perfume pair in 2007 and they arrive in attractive black and white flacons. The perfumes represent passion and are a true weapon of seduction. They reveal hidden passions with their sophisticated and unaggressive approach.
Ladies first, so I will write about Her in the beginning! The perfume opens freshly and soapy, with mild aromas of ginger. This fragrance was supposed to be more aggressive, direct, hypnotically seductive, but there is no trace of aggression apart from aldehyde-floral-woody-musk composition with accentuated rose along with fresh and sharp floral notes without sweetness (Sambac jasmine). Base notes are fresh, tart and woody aromas of cedar, with musk and warm amber, which soften the character of the fragrance for a nuance. It does seduce, but in a subtle and elegant, maybe even witty way.
The perfume is sophisticated and long lasting. It characterizes a real lady, Woman, but I would sooner call it Grace than Mistress, since I do not connect it with lust or with infidelity.
The scent is peaceful and goes perfectly with lace. I would say it even if the flacon did not have this motive. It does not seduce with strength, it does not reveal passions, but appears step by step.
Official notes: aldehydes, lemongrass, bergamot, ginger, ylang-ylang, rose, lotus, jasmine Sambac, cedar, powdery amber, musk, dry fruit, oak moss.

The edition for men, Mister, is a good companion to the version for women. A gentleman among fragrances, not a pushy seducer.
In the beginning, it does not remind of old colognes, but pours peace and strength. Opening notes are shortly accentuated, floral notes along with basil. There is also a balmy, tobacco-like, soft cover, which is vividly present in the whole composition, over all other notes. The perfume is intensive, not too sweet and receives its depth and darker trail from earthy notes of patchouli, which is not too strong and softens with time. The perfume pair reminds me of old times of aristocracy and I like the fact that the fragrances did not follow a fashion trend, but can fit into any time.
Both editions aim at seduction, but, to be honest, none of them leaves such impression on me. They are sooner sustained, but with style.
Official notes are: pelargonium, basil, Artemisia, tonka, patchouli, timber, musk and tobacco.
The flacons are a true fetish for me. I am attracted by geometry, heavy glass and modernism, and black and white stripes accompanied with black and white lace are the perfect representation of a fragrant pair.
Mistress is available as 30, 50 and 100ml (1, 1.7 and 3.4 oz) edp, as well as 50 ml (1.7 oz) pure perfume. ‘Striped’ Mister can be found in amounts of 30, 50 and 100ml (1, 1.7 and 3.4 oz) edt.
