The house of Lacoste is introducing a new fragrance for women, Joy of Pink. The perfume joins the Lacoste Pink Collection which encompasses these editions: Touch of Pink, Dream of Pink and Love of Pink:

Joy of Pink is ideal for young ladies and for women full of life and energy. Its zests are refreshing, awakening and exhilarating. The fragrance opens with bright and sparkling grapefruit aromas. A heart is challenging and exotic, just like some tasty cocktail of Blue Curaçao enhanced with floral notes of peony. The composition closes with cedar and musk, which give a strong base to this light and gentle fragrance.

Top: Grapefruit

Heart: Blue Curaçao, Peony

Base: Cedar, Musk

The flacon of Joy of Pink is similar to those of previous editions of the collection but is coloured in neon pink this time. Name of the brand and name of the perfume are written is silver. Lacoste Joy of Pink has arrived on the market as 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Toilette.

Accompanied products with the same fragrant notes are Body Lotion 50ml and Shower Gel 50ml, available also in a set with 30 ml EDT.

In stores since October 2010.

While I absolutely love Alexa Chung (the model on the left in that photo) and her chatty, tomboyish style, I don't know whether another "Of Pink" is really what we need.

Touch of Pink was a wonderful everyday staple (to date it's the only perfume I've bought more than once), but its complete lack of generic musk in the drydown was a huge bonus for me (they substituted with an aquatic vanilla, which lent the whole thing a wonderful effervescent sweetness without going overboard). Lacoste makes sporty tennis fragrances for sporty tennis girls (or those who want to be), and they do it really, really well.

But I can't help wondering why they saw fit to release yet another Pink, in the same bottle, around the same theme... I hope they throw in some woods or pepper into this to at least make it distinguishable. What's next, "need of pink"?

Another Pink, come on I thought...but this one may be somewhat better than the other three; which to me, all smell very similar.

I love the smell and taste of curacao and the base sounds woody and nice, and the citrus is inevitable of Lacoste scents...and the peony may actually SMELL pink.

I love all of the mens scents, with Essential Sport rating only a 'like'- and am wondering when the next male scent will come out, that is not a flanker to something else...
