Laurence Dumont Les Senteurs Gourmandes

The house of Laurence Dumont is located in the heart of western France. Its founder Nadine Petit spent years in the specialization, development and production of high quality fragrances, made from the highest quality ingredients. The result of her years of work is a gourmand collection of hot and opulent notes, which contains some of the most popular vanilla-based perfumes.

In 2009 the house of Laurence Dumont launched new editions of their "sweetness of life" scented creations, after a two-year pause. Their entire series of their fragrances can be divided into four groups: Childhood Memories, The Orchard, Traditional Vanilla and Travel Diary.

Childhood Memories includes two scents: Musc Blanc and Tendre Madeleine. Musc Blanc is a milky and musky fragrance surrounded by soft cotton clouds. The composition includes notes of amber, tarragon, lily of the valley, rose and white musk. Tendre Madeleine is an almost edible fragrance, resembling the French cookies. It tempts with aromas of bergamot, cinnamon, almond, vanilla, white musk and precious wood.

The Orchard is the second collection, which also features two scents—Figue Sauvage and Vanille Violette. Figue Sauvage brings a sunny combination of fruit and vanilla. The top notes are green notes, bergamot and ylang-ylang.  The heart is intoxicating with fig and violet, while the base extends the satisfaction with a creamy combination of vanilla and sandalwood. Vanille Violette is a magical perfume that starts off with hot notes of vanilla and seductive violet. The composition also includes notes of bergamot, spices, benzoin, white musk and vanilla, adding a floral bouquet of violet, rose and lily of the valley.

The Traditional Vanilla collection is designed for fans of heavy gourmand scents, and includes Bourbon Vanille Bourbon, Vanille Orientale, Vanille Chocolat and Vanille Abricot. Vanille Bourbon gives you a delicate blend of bourbon vanilla, anise, toffee, red fruit, coconut and white musk. Vanille Orientale seduces with exotic ylang-ylang combined with toffee, vanilla and white musk, while the third fragrance of the collection, Vanille Chocolat, thrills with honey, chocolate, patchouli, vanilla and tobacco. Vanille Abricot is created as a fragrant gift for all sweet, cheerful and fruity aroma lovers. The composition is made of peach and yellow fruit.  The heart is composed of apricot, which is pleasantly laid on the soft and warm vanilla. Vanille Abricot retains a youthful spirit, smiles and happiness.

The fourth collection of the Laurence Dumont house is the Travel Diary collection, consisting of Vanille Frangipanier, Vanille Monoi and Vanille Patchouli perfumes. Vanille Frangipanier is sweet and exotic, with a blend of lemon, almond and toffee. Seductive notes of ylang-ylang, milk and spices are in the middle, set on a base of vanilla, white musk and precious wood. Vanille Frangipanier gives a fragrant travelogue of the Caribbean.

Vanille Monoi is a sweet, milky and exotic fragrance that takes us to the Polynesian islands. Rosewood, citrus fruits, monoi (Tiare flowers in coconut oil), with elegant jasmine and vanilla promising a sunny, exotic and feminine aroma. Vanille Patchouli is described as an enigmatic and mysterious scent, with its composition of neroli, geranium, Peru balsam, patchouli, Tonka and vanilla.

All the fragrances of the Les Senteurs Gourmandes collection are available in glass and cylindrical bottles, in quantities of 100 ml EDP, while some editions are also available as perfumed baths in limited numbers.

The newest fragrance scheduled to be launched in summer 2010 (from June 15) is Vanille Framboise, made of lemon, pear, rose, jasmine, raspberry and vanilla. This fragrance will be part of the Travel Diary collection. It is available as a 100 ml EDP.

In addition to the re-launch of the gourmet collection, this year (2010) Laurence Dumont presents an entirely new line, Charmes Secrets, which has four new fragrances (Fleur de Tendresse, Douce Caresse, Nuit Sensuelle and Passion Absolue), about which we will soon be writing more.
