Les Naturelles Collection by Fragonard

Fragonard is an old French perfumery house founded by Eugene Fuchs in Grasse, in the South of France. He named the house in honor of the French painter who was also his landsman, Jean-Honore Fragonard, also born in Grasse. You must know these paintings of his:

Perfumery Fragonard expresses their style in their fragrances: French, elegant and erotic. Fragonard makes perfumes, cosmetics and other products from traditional raw materials, most of them originating from the south of France, in their own factory. The production technology is also traditional. Tourists can visit the museum and factory for free and see the procedure with their own eyes.

One of the charming collections by this house is Les Naturelles, eau de toilettes made of the most fragrant plants of the world. Most of them are grown in Grasse: famous French rose, lavender, orange blossom, lemon verbena, jasmine, mimosa, iris etc.  These cheerful fragrances are composed on the principle of minimalism, as elegant sketches of flowers and grasses. Their compositions include exactly the number of notes necessary to liven nature up and enchant us with their spontaneous joy.

The collection containing nine fragrances encompasses the magic aroma of famous French rose Rose de Mai, a variation of Centilifolia rose which is characteristic of Grasse. If you have grown roses or have had an opportunity to smell a variety of them, you must have noticed how much they differ in fragrance from rose to rose. French Rose de Mai, with its small pink petals, smells delicately fresh with green nuances, which gives an impression of a dewy rose still on its stem.

Fleur d'Oranger also smells absolutely natural. The fresh, citrus spark in the top notes transforms into the honeyed warmth of small white flowers. Verbena is as clear and unrestrained as a smile, and Lavanda, the best lavender of French fields, is one of the oldest compositions of collection Les Naturelles.
