Bermuda Perfumery was founded in 1928. W.B. Smith and his daughter Madeline Scott hired a French perfumer to experimentally produce perfume from the large quantity of Easter lilies found in Bermuda at that time. Two years later they began commercial production of Easter Lily perfume.

Over the years, the Perfumery developed many other perfumes inspired by the flowers of Bermuda, including Jasmine, Passion Flower, Frangipanni and Oleander. In the 1930s a new fragrance for men was introduced, derived from the indigenous Bermuda Cedarwood. The tree is found in no other part of the world, making it a truly unique fragrance.

In 2004, the Brackstone family acquired the Bermuda Perfumery and moved its operations to historic Stewart Hall in St. George's in the heart of UNESCO's World Heritage Site. The same traditions and methods of perfume making are still pursued to this day with the guidance and assistance of Mr. David Botello, the Perfumery's perfumer for the past 43 years.

Paradise is an addictive dense fragrance composed of heady flowers, fruits and prominent woodsy nuances. Along with the continuity of the tradition, it's a child of its time, the experimental 1980s.
Coral is the tenderest dewy floral with tiny lily-of-the-valley flowers and pure water lily in its heart. Pink is a quintessence of pink Bermuda flowers and fruits: pink peonies, pink grapefruit, water-melon, pink pepper, magnolia, together with mimosa and peach, make it irresistible not just for admirers of pink. Passion Flower, rich with sweet flowers and fruits, is the most temperamental fragrance in the collection. Lily was made in homage to the very first perfume of the house, with the lily flower as a central theme.

Petals is the newest fragrance for women in the Bermuda collection. Petals is a truly feminine classic bouquet gathered from the white flowers of Bermuda: night blooming honeysuckle, seringa, orange blossom, jasmine sambac, with delicate citruses in the top and soft white musk in the final notes.

There are also two shared fragrances in the line, which were introduced recently (2009), South Water (a gourmand juice of tropical fruits) and Fresh Water (a classical sophisticated citrus scent). Today we introduce to you the Ladies' fragrances by Lili Bermuda, but we also strongly recommend their collection for Men.
