Lolita Lempicka adds a new member to her fragrant collection in October 2010 - limited edition Minuit Noir, inspired by the first fragrance of the house of Lolita Lempicka, Le Premier Parfum launched in 1997. Its composition is built based on the first fragrance with accentuated stronger, sexy notes.
Fragrance Minuit Noir was created as oriental-woody with enhanced notes of liquorice, iris, violet and patchouli, available in a beautiful black flacon decorated with golden ivy leaves. The fragrance is available as 100ml Eau de Parfum limited edition. (Source - Marie Claire)
I have the original Lolita Lempicka, but find that, on my skin and with my body chemistry, the scent just doesn't work. While I just love it on others, on me it seems flat and toneless.
That being said, I'm going to try Minuit Noir. I'm ready to tackle a patchouli again, and this sounds like a great blend of sweet edibles and darker notes. Here's hoping . . . !
Why are you excited about it?
I wore the original when it first came out and now have "L" in my fragrance wardrobe in regular rotation. I am curious to see how this will play out and look forward to experiencing it.
I heard through the grapevine that the original Lolita Lempicka is getting reformulated. Has anyone else heard this? (also, I keep seeing it at Winners, the Canadian TJ Maxx, which is never a good sign).
If so, then this reformulation could be a lovely replacement, especially if it adds some fresh darkness to the mix. I can't wait to test this when it comes out!
I am on my 2nd bottle of Lolita Lempicka, most unusual fragrance - not easily compared with anything else I have ever used. It is "edible" with a zesty lemon tang with the darkness of the licorice underneath. Suits my skin - guess not everyone's "cup of tea". I often get asked "what are you wearing" because it is so different.
I look forward to trying this new darker and sexier version - as it is a special edition hope it doesn't cost the earth!! Also hope it makes it to Australia.
I've had the original Lolita Lempicka, and I loved it. I can't wait to buy this one!
I can not say how much excited about this I am. I never got to buy the original Lolita, but I think Ill get this once once it is on the market. Hopefully it will be as dark as it promises to be!
