MDCI Parfums: Three New Luxurious Fragrances

The imagination of an artist, as well as the luxury, knows no limits. The French selective brand Parfums MDCI (Marchal Design & Créations Indépendantes) was founded by Claude Marchal who strongly believes that perfume is art more than industry and that it should be an object of pride and joy of its owner.

Renown noses create fragrances for MDCI Parfums (Pierre Bourdon, Francis Kurkdjian, Stephanie Bakouche, Amandine Marie, Jeanne-Marie Faugier and Patricia de Nicolaï), with no limits in price. The juices are locked in crystal spray bottles adorned with stunning bisque stoppers, made of porcelain or crystal.

MDCI just launched three new fragrances (in February and March of 2009), completing the collection of 6 fragrances.

Le Rivage des Syrtes (the name of the novel Le Rivage des Syrtes of the French writer Julien Gracq) and Un Coeur en Mai (A Heart in May) were created by Patricia de Nicolaï, who has her own line of perfumes.

The third fragrance is called Vêpres Siciliennes, green woody chypre, it was created by Jeanne-Marie Faugier.

These three fragrances were meant for the ladies, but you can easily change it by choosing the bottle with the male bust.

Le Rivage des Syrtes is a romantic dreamy fragrance of hope and true love. It opens with a fruits, followed by fragile white flowers (tuberose and orange blossom) over the oriental base of noble essences: ambergris, incense, musk…(February 2009)

Vêpres Siciliennes is about warm sunny evenings in Italy. Claude describes it as "a very complex formula, with tons of ingredients used as secondary notes to provide an ever changing result; you may be surprized to find certain ingredients part of the heart or the bottom notes (oak moss in he heart notes, raspberry and... peach in the bottom notes)." The latest, Un Coeur en Mai, is about launching very soon. Green, fresh, juicy and fragile springtime fragrance. (March 2009)

You can order MDCI perfumes (in crystal bottles with different stoppers, or refill bottles, you can also order empty bottles) online from the official MDCI web site. The set of 5 samples (10 ml each) costs 55 Euros.
