Maison Francis Kurkdjian is a new niche line which counts 25 products, starting from eau de toilettes to perfumed products for fabrics cleaning inspired by Paris. Francis Kurkdjian is a famous name in the world of perfumes. He created Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male, Giorgio Armani's Mania, Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile, as well as fragrances for his private clients, besides other projects.


Idea for his boutique for fragrances is to create a gallery of fragrances in Parisian style. Perfumer Kurkdjian and architects Yann Le Coadic and Alessandro Scoto participated in gallery design. A mixture of classic and hi-tech mark the gallery Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
Besides fragrant bubbles and halls which remind of old French galleries, fountains with perfumed water and artistic presentations of icons of Paris – Eiffel's tower and Montmartre, the gallery is decorated with logotypes of the brand and silhouette of flacons. "I wanted perfume flacons to be like tourists in Paris. " said Kurkdjian.
Terrazzo floor is characteristic for the sales department of the gallery, while the ceiling is decorated with hand-made golden paper. Beatrice Ardisson created a music blend of characteristic classic melodies tuned in a modern way.
As for the products of the collection, Francis Kurkdjian says: "Today, there’s no link between the perfumed products we use from day to night." – referring to lack of olfactive harmony. It happens often that we cannot find appropriate laundry detergent compatible with fabrics softener.


The mentioned collection with 25 products by Maison Francis Kurkdjian includes:
Acqua Universalis – inspired by cleanliness scent composed of bergamot, Sicilian lemon, lily of the valley, sweet orange and blond musky wood. It arrives as 75ml and 200ml EDT, as well as 1 liter laundry detergent and softener with the same notes.
The collection also features "photophore" candle which does not arrive in traditional glass package, but it makes a hole inside its body while it burns and it seems like it is burning in its very heart. They wanted to make a little twist in design and presentation of products and awake their customers' interest and so invented a small leather bracelet Tour Atour with impregnated scent. A box of 20 fragrant incense papers is also part of the collection.
Bracelet and fragrant box are available with Lumiere Noire and APOM, which include fragrances for men and women, as well as room fragrances.
APOM or A Peace of Me was inspired by Kurdjian's journey to Lebanon. APOM pour Femme incorporates orange blossom, cedar and ylang-ylang, while APOM pour Homme introduces orange blossom, cedar and amber.

Lumiere Noire Pour Femme is created of spicy rose, patchouli and daffodil. The version for men, Lumiere Noire Pour Homme is a combination of patchouli, spicy rose and artemisia.
Eau de colognes line encompasses Cologne Pour le Matin – for morning and Cologne Pour le Soir – for evening. Les Bulles d'Aghathe is a collection of three fragrant toys in amount of 45 ml. Its bubbles bring three versions of scent, inspired by pear, cold mint or cut herbs. The products will be available in the USA from October 2009 (Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman), as well as in Amsterdam, London and Paris, while Maison Francis Kurkdjian will be launched in November in Monaco, Russia etc. (WWD)

Various comments: 1) Francis, can I be your personal assistant? I promise to lovingly dust off each bottle of your perfume every night. Mmm... 2) Why Niemanns??? NO NO NO! The staff there can barely put down their nail file to help you, they don't give samples, and they won't take your credit card (only NIemanns credit card or cash). Horrible place. 3). HOw about smaller bottles so we can buy multiple fragrances?
I am very much looking forward to these scents; I own one of his fragrances and I"m about to buy two more. A Big Perfumed kiss to Francis!
